Do the 2013 Colorado rally guys remember the TWO brand new Teneres “we” stripped for parts? Holy cow, those bikes needed a ton of parts put back on after our group ride...... lol
Always a good time with this group ! LOL
Lol we discussed tires but no mention of spare oil pans!

I just got home from a ride and stopped in at Marble Falls to check it out.
This is the motel
There is a lot of junk around the huge! parking lot.
All this is taken from standing in front of the main banquet hall.
For those of you coming from a high class modern big city , you may almost be shocked by all the junk in this part of Arkansas.
There are lots of abandon trailers with trash all around ,abandon houses everywhere, trash in the ditches everywhere.
But this is what makes Arkansas, Arkansas.

Having stayed there a few times, I'd like to assure folks that while the rooms are by no means opulent, they are clean and are very suitable for adventure type travelers. There is not a picture of the restaurant above, but it has served us some nice meals in the past. That large parking area and many of those buildings are a part of the old Dog Patch USA theme park that is now abandoned and is obvious has been for some time. Also not shown is the other side of the hotel where the fire pit is. There will be many lies and tall tales told there if previous stays are any indication. This place sees a lot of motorcycle groups of all types. Cruisers to dirt bikes.
For those that haven't spent anytime in Arkansas, it is a motorcyclist paradise. Lot's of nice black top, and for those that want dirt there is lots of that too, It ranges from some of the best maintained gravel roads you will ever ride to gnarly single track.

All the rooms at Marble Falls resort have been renovated in the last two years.
If you listen to the other poster you would get the impression this whole area is nothing but an abandoned trash dump, which is nowhere near the truth.
Arkansas is called the natural state for good reason.
When you ride down the hill 1/2 mile from the resort to hwy 7 you are on one of THE BEST riding roads in the entire midwest. And another mile down hwy 7 you take a right onto excellent gravel county roads.
I just got the March issue of RIDER magazine and it has an excellent article about riding in NW Arkansas.
The opening paragraph of the article could have been written by me as I did the same 7.5 years ago.

They are good people and have excellent techs. I had them do my last valve check on the Super Ten and was very pleased with the quality of work and how thorough they were. There is a hotel next door too, should someone get stuck. Nothing fancy, but clean enough and reasonably priced. Food options and Walmart just down the street too.

As bad as I hate to say this I am out. New work schedule really spoiled my plans. Unfortunately after several conversations to get time off for this event, it's not going to happen. I cancelled my room today at the HUB (king room) so if someone's waiting for a room give Debbie a shout.

Yea sucks. Was looking forward to going to first Rally, meeting other Tenere owners, and getting to see all the different mods owners have done. Only positive thing I get to ride these roads all the time
