I have for sale an almost brand new modified clutch basket for £300 Stg buyer pays postage. I fitted it to my Super Tenere and a week later a guy made me an offer for the bike that I could not refuse. So off came the new basket and sat nav gubbins. Basket is as new and does make a real difference. This may be heresy around here but i am seriously tempted by Triumph Thruxton R 1200 or Speed Twin.
Clutch basket now sold!

That part number is a Gen2 part number. Gen 2 basket is definitely an improvement on a Gen1 bike.

Ok thanks, I guess I would have referred to that as updated. To me the word “modified” sounds like a non-factory change of some kind.

Over £500 to buy that part in the UK, I have just bought one from America for a little over that ( £350 ) including postage and import etc.

Bargain buy for someone over here ( EU ) with a Gen 1wishing to upgrade I would say.

Many times, just by reading posts, and looking at words/phrases used, a person can surmise what there location the "poster" is from. When I moved to Texas I had to get an English to Texas dictionary. And, some Cajuns need subtitles. :D

Congratulations on the sale, and new purchase of your Thruxton. I hope it brings you may smiles and miles.
