Trying to locate extended lines.

So.. this might sound like a long shot, but I can't seem to find extended braided stainless steel clutch and brake lines. I want to add a helibar riser to the bike to just enough pullback for me (as well as a little bit of height for standing). I can't locate the extended ones, only factory replacement lines that appear to be the same length as OEM.

Everyone else says to use the rideonadv ones, but rideonadv has been down for a long time, the site is unreachable, and they're not stainless braided (which I prefer).

Anyone have any suggestions at this point?

Are there any other bikes that use the same lengths and widths? Maybe the R1, or a cruiser? I would like to do my brake lines this Fall or next Spring so I’ll be looking around soon enough. I just have to refresh the money supplies.

I would look into Galfer website
https://galferusa.com/product/yamaha-2012-xtz-1200-super-tenere-multiple-lines-fk003d771-9
They are Braided SS. Longer?! Don’t know...
On mine I have a 2inch rox riser and the PO route the OEM tubes and its perfect. I would guess that the original lentgh well routed will be fine...
What's a PO route?

Here is the link to forum member TABASCO longer lines, the price and pictures seem to be kept secret until you contact him.

He sells stainless braided? That might do it then.

PM Tabasco. He's hard to find on the forum because of the spelling used in his user name.

Why do you think his long lines are not. S/S braid?

I believe Tabasco lines are stainless steel braided, at least that’s what I thought I read in the link I provided earlier today.
Edit
Well now I’m not sure if they are stainless steel braided or not, it just says steel braided .
I really don’t understand how he gets by posting an add with no price or pictures ?

One of the Mods should remind him about that rule violation.

I asked why the OP didn't think they were S/S braid because I too am pretty sure they are. Having had custom lines made myself, it's not really worth the small difference in cost from rubber lines to S/S braid to NOT do them in S/S braid.

Not everyone understands that modern S/S braided lines are all covered with a plastic sheathing. You can get that in any color, and I think Jaxon does his in black. The reason for the plastic sheathing is because natural S/S braid lines like they used to do in the old days are incredibly abrasive and act like a saw to anything it rubs against, metal, plastic, etc. It really sucks to cut into a fork leg, let me tell you.

The RideOnADV lines are a proven product at this point and last I recently heard, he had them in stock. If you go to a hydraulic hose shop that has the correct equipment for brake lines, it will cost you more to have one set of custom lines made up than it will cost to buy a set from RideOnADV. I know from doing two line brake line kits long ago for the Super Ten to eliminate the cross over line. (And no, I don't sell those any more.)

I believe mine are braided, they're black coated though.

I’ve used them for years. Great company that can set you up with SS Galfer lines.
I’ll be contacting them soon enough for my own set. I find the brakes fade quickly on paved NorCal goat trails.

I have the helibar installed and did not buy extended lines. I only used the brake extension that came with the kit. For the clutch, just follow the instructions.
That actually let me pull the trigger. I'll hook it up as is and look at new lines later.

You'll be fine. Thousands of miles on the Helibar instruction set up and never had one issue with the cables.

Hello fellow ST community!

The close up pictures are posted in the Vendor section. They are ALL stainless braided, have always been. And we have them in stock and ready to ship. Been serving customers with these lines for 8-9 years now.

If anyone has any questions just let me know. I’ll probably talk your ear off :)

Thank you
