I put in Novsight 8,400 Lumen LED headlight bulbs. I had one of the halogen lamps burn out last week and since I'd put in LEDs for the little running lights last weekend, I decided to go LED for the mains as well. The extended/deeper rear covers should get here tomorrow. Since I have a Baja Designs OnX 4LED light bar already, I did the 8,400 lumens vs the 10k.

SUPER happy with the upgrade, and aside from the new covers, it's not much more than a new set of Silverstars that would be dead in a year.

Finally wore the tires to a point I could justify taking them off so I spooned on a set of 705's.
Hopefully they will work out well, but they certainly have different feel than the ones that came off.

Thought something was wrong when I headed out to get an oil filter. By the time I was headed home it almost felt normal again.

They have a weird feel at first until you get a few miles on them. Front seems to feel like it wants to stay leaned and you have to haulmit up out of the turn. weird at first.

Hit 10K miles last weekend so today fresh Motul full synth 4T 7100 10W40, new OEM oil filter, fresh Yamalube
FD oil and a new set of drain plugs with new crush washers. Finally was able to install a Denali SoundBomb Mini in the same
location were the OEM tooter was. Not sure if this locale for the Denali is going to work long term.
I forgot to take a pic of the Denali to show everyone, I will post a pic later in the week.

I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide.
...........Finally was able to install a Denali SoundBomb Mini in the same...........

I mounted my full size sound bomb there. I took the horn/brake bracket and bent it a bit (with a hammer need to take it off) its tight but fit but does not hit at full lock either way. The previous owner had taken a piece of angle iron and mounted it vertical there and it was hitting the fender ugh.... So I move it to horizontal. Just had to drill out the washer to fit the right sized bolt.

Ignore the non protected wiring. I live in the place where it never rains. Ill get around to wrapping it properly, just wanted to make sure it would all work before I bothered.

Will be nice to see photos of how it look at the end! Regards

Had a set of Bridgestone Battlax A41's fitted.
These replaced the Pirelli Sport Demons that had been fitted by the previous owner. (7 year old tyres)
I've had the bike for a short time and since buying it the front has always felt sketchy and quick to turn and tip in ( thought it was just the bike having previously had FJR1300)
The bike shop told me that the old tyre they took off was a 100/90 19, this may explain the ride/handling.
The 5 km ride back home was completely different, much more compliant and closer to what I had experienced on the FJR.
Will find out tomorrow on the 70km ride to work, kangaroos and black ice, standard ride in the middle of a Melbourne winter.

I took mine on a 5,000 mile trip. Towards the end I had some T-31's mounted as my stock tires were about done. The 31's are a street tire and work great if you don't plan on any offroad. Smooth and quiet and give confidence in the curves, they hold on like crazy.

Yesterday I repaired the damage that happened on our trip. We had stopped in Grants Pass for a bit and as we were standing there talking a gust of wind blew my bike over. The right side pannier took the worst of it and I have a replacement coming. It also twisted the pannier frames and scratched up the crash bars. I removed the pannier frames and straightened them out and put them back on. Then I filed down the deeper scratches on the crash bars followed by wet sanding with 400 grit. Then I put on several coats of satin black rust paint. They came out just like new.IMG_5026.JPG58311276259__22803D67-BC9F-4500-A170-D0DD2BD82496.JPG

Hi to all!
Last night finally I got working my emergency and turning lights to work as I wanted, these are an after market lights, I hope you will like, thanks for watchihg.
Front turning light working
Rear truning light
Rear emergency light. The stop light flashes 3 times and then stays solid, the main (center) stop light works normal! I will post a video later, did not take a video of it.
Front emergency light

Very inexpensive, work needed to be done but I like the way it looks in my 2013!!

Have a great day!

Those look great! Good visibility! What brand or a link to where you got them, please. This would make a good "How To" thread.

I gave mine more room in the garage. I have now sold her stable mate, the Yamaha XJR 1300. I had only put 600 miles on it since last August. I have had an XJR for nearly 20 years and this one 14 of them, but I can't keep hanging on to stuff for the sake of nostalgia.

With a little of the sale money I put a more appropriate reg. number on her. The previouse owner had traded in a Triumph Rocket 3 and transfered the R111 plate to the Tenere.

Part 2 from this past Saturday:
Here is the Denali SoundBomb Mini I installed, it fits real well offset from the OEM horn spot.
The mounting bracket that was supplied with the Denali was kind of thin but thankfully
there were two of these brackets in the horn's box so I doubled them up and they are both now
a bit stiffer but there is still some play for the horn to bounce a bit but only when I go off the slab
might this be a problem.
This SoundBomb Mini is plenty loud and my presence will now always be known
should there be a reason to announce myself to the unknowing and the unaware!
