Finally, back in the saddle...

I have been lurking in the forum since I sold my 2013 Tenere a year ago, kicking myself for selling it. Well, as of yesterday I am back in the saddle on a, new to me, 2018 S10 ES. The difference between the two bikes is very noticeable but within a couple minutes of riding it confirmed the reason I like the S10 so much. I am happy to actually feel like a member, again, of this forum.

The panniers are the 10" Jesse Challenger. The full side is 52L and the cutout side is 42L.

How do you like the cruise control? Pretty nice, isn't it?

Welcome back. I'm glad you didn't get seduced by the beak(s).

The cruise is the bomb. I rode 170 miles back home and the cruise was the first thing I tried out. Works like a charm. The ES, after I get all of it figured out, is going to be nice also.

For the ES preload, I translate the settings as 180-200lbs per helmet, and 50ish lbs for the luggage symbol(s). As far as the soft/hard and, +3 to -3....THAT will take some experimentation to find what setting YOU like for the terrain your riding on; paved or unpaved. You'll have fun learning the settings either way.
