Is the rider of the yellow S10 who was on Amboy Rd today (Sunday 2/25) on here? I was riding a black R1200GS.

As of 2018 bikes, BMW now recommends 87 octane, FWIW.

2012 Yamaha Super T -Used- At Capitol Yamaha in Sacramento

Yeah. If they reduced it to $6000 it would be a deal. $6500 it would be the going rate. $8999 is a joke.

    Super Ténéré 2017 & Beyond...

Yet NEW 2015's and 2016's are sitting in the warehouse unsold. Perhaps Yamaha didn't ship many 2017's to the US due to the overstock of previous model years, and now they've run out of the 2017 bikes

    2014 Yamaha Super Tenere non-es $7,000. *****SOLD******

Re: 2014 Yamaha Super Tenere non-es $7,000 Considering the 2015 non-ES is available new in the $9000 range, I don't see $7000 as being out of line. I think you're quoting asking prices versus selling prices on pre-owned bikes. Anyhow, you wish to discuss this further let's start a separate...

    2014 Yamaha Super Tenere non-es $7,000. *****SOLD******

Re: 2014 Yamaha Super Tenere non-es $7,000 You've got a bike priced fairly, and not sit on the market forever. That's not killing the resale market..

    hurricane harveys big blow

Snake .. you're a real piece of work. We could ALL learn so much from your mindset. I'm glad to "know" you even though we've never met. I don't fly into HOU very often, and when I do, we use that Wilson Air place (sorry...lol). But you can bet when I fly in, I'm looking you up. Best of luck...

R1200GS - got to ride one today!

In all fairness to both sides of this argument .. I highly doubt a dealer would charge a Super Tenere owner 30 mins of labor to change a clutch.

R1200GS - got to ride one today!

If you compare apples to apples (wet clutch GS with wet clutch Super Tenere), the price for the BMW clutch is the same as the Super Tenere, around $400 installed.

R1200GS - got to ride one today!

None. Prior to the GS, and Super Tenere, I owned a 2005 R1200RT. I put 145,000 miles on it. Only non-scheduled maintenance I had to do was wheel bearings and the windshield mounting hardware needed to be replaced due to a crack in one of the mounting arms.

R1200GS - got to ride one today!

GS service interval is 6,000 miles. Valve check interval is 12,000 (GS) vs 26,000 (Super Tenere), but takes 20 mins versus 4 hours (?) I found the Super Tenere cost me $1900 in scheduled maintenance to own through 28,000 miles. The GS has cost me $1500 so far in 30,000 miles.

R1200GS - got to ride one today!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again .. having owned both a Super Tenere and a R1200GS, when dealer maintained by the book, the GS is cheaper to maintain.

Needing some advice on a potential sale that sounds too good to be true

$9990 is a great price, no doubt about it. BUT, it's probably also a realistic price to move the bike, and not hold onto it for several months, lowering the price incrementally until it sells. I think people see the asking prices for bikes, and assume that's what they're worth. I think the...

New 2015's available in the warehouse

m San Diego. But, because the bikes are in the warehouse, dealer location should not matter. Did you not have the bikes at the dealer, they are simply willing to order one if there is a buyer.

New 2015's available in the warehouse

FYI .. and excuse this post, for those already aware. The salesman that sold me two of my Super Tenere's sent me an email today. In that email, he said that there are leftover Super Tenere's, model year 2015 that Yamaha is trying to blow out. He candidly told me that he wants to make $1000 on...
