Rear Duffel Dry Bag that you like?

::026:: ::026:: ::026:: Sealine from Sierra Trading post has always worked great for me. And when you get one of their coupons (which happens all the time) the bags are pretty cheap. They seem to last just as long as the more expensive ones. Chafe doesn't care what you paid for the bag. :D...

    Rukka knee/shin armour.

I have the Rukka Armas jacket and pants. With Gaerne Balanced oiled boots, I do not have a problem with the armor in the knees or shins riding up. The only armor issue I have is with the knees in very hot and humid weather if I am wearing a very thing base layer pant. The pant tends to bunch up...

    Valves in NOVA

I haven't found any shops in NOVA or Maryland that I am comfortable with. Romney is an excellent choice, and well worth the ride. Equally good is TriCounty Honda just down the road from Romney in Petersburg WV. Best, Chris

    ACD skid plate rant

The foam on both of my ACD plates came completely off about a month after installation. I pretty much functionally destroyed the first one at last year's get together in Romney. That plate was the original design, which rubbed on the front tire under full suspension compression (even with Ohlins...

I'm in! Lee and I are expecting a baby girl in mid-February, but I think there's a pretty good chance of making it for at least part of a day. Looking forward to catching up with you guys! Best, Chris

    Carbon

My 2014 looked quite a bit worse than that at 26K miles, and I always run 93 octane from Shell, Exxon, or Mobil. Best, Chris

    Who has YES?

I had YES on my 2012, and it was absolutely worth every bit of the ~$400 I paid for it. I bought YES again when I traded the 2012 and got the 2014. I'm a few days short of the one year mark on the 2014, and am pushing up against 36K miles. My experience with Yamaha and YES has been nothing short...

    24k mile service costs

It's a 360 mile round trip from my house to go to TriCounty in Petersburg, West Virginia but they are totally worth the trip. Great techs and a good bunch of folks who are very into the bike. Valves were still in spec. 8) On my 2012, the first valve adjustment wasn't needed until 78K. It...

    24k mile service costs

The 26k interval service on my 2014 last month came to basically $460. That included general check over, valve check, air filter replacement, throttle body sync, brake flush and fill, fresh spark plugs, lube steering head bearings, lube swingarm pivot bearings. The bike did not need final drive...
