Sorry I missed this one and didn’t know about it before. It will be fun next time around if it comes to the Buckeye state. By then, I will have miles on my S10 and experiences to share. Enjoy it out there and great pics of the event.
Where have you been that is an incredible ride? Pics help for sure. It is a bit tough this time of year but know many of you have some great adventures in the Buckeye State. Let’s see them.
I ended up with an '18 S10 1200. Like @Sierra1 stated, it will be for a lot of 2 up riding and going long distance. It is a better fit for me. The T-7 does look cool though! Just not enough moto for what I will be using it for.
You are smart moving where it is warm! My wife is from Chile in South America. This is one of my primary reasons for buying the Tenere. A quality machine to actually get me down there and an awesome adventure at that!
Haha, I hear ya loud and clear. However it is fun right? I keep telling the wife not to buy more shoes and other stuff and she just gives me that look. I then shut up pretty soon after! And she has no idea the cost of farkling this thing either. But when riding, one can’t wipe that grin off my...
My top case rack from Canada and my Trekker Outback top case from Italy arrived today within an hour of each other. Incredible timing! I couldn’t have imagined it any better. Thanks @Super08 for the rack.
Just waiting on the side cases, which are en route. Then I will be luggage ready and no...
Thanks @Highwayman I found an ‘18 ES with several farkles for dirt cheap. Agreed these items add up more than I would like but makes me more giddy receiving these in the mail than Christmas and birthday gifts combined. Living in Ohio is not fun for bikers in the winter and only get about 35+...
Any preference over the style of protection from rocks, branches and other things from breaking the headlight? The lens is too expensive to repair and am looking to do the grill or the clear lens. I like the grill but worried about smaller rocks going through. The lens seems better in that...
I did the same looking for a long time and waiting. I ended up finding a 2018 ES with 17k miles for $10,250 OTD and had a bunch of upgrades on it. With that few of miles it is still a baby. They are out there and patience sux but worth it. You’ll find the one you like!
Wow, great trip! Thanks for the information.
I just bought a Trekker Outback top case and 37 liter side cases. Can’t wait for them to arrive. @Super08 has been a wealth of knowledge helping me determine which items are correct and even had a necessary piece for my bike.
Yes please. If you have some photos would be interested. I assume that top plate would accept either top case size of 42 or 58 litre? (I think those are the sizes). The larger top case might be excessive no? I know it is personal preference just don’t want to go small and have buyer’s remorse...
