    ABS Light, No rear brake

I think I went into a fair bit of detail in one of the threads on how to remove/install without taking the tub out… that’s a fairly big job.

    ABS Light, No rear brake

The best way I found was to have someone else topping up the reservoirs and go nuts with the levers. You don’t have to close the bleed nipple every cycle of the lever like your grand dad showed you ;)... run a heap of oil through (which you can reuse) until there’s no bubbles in a clear hose...

I’ve done it several times… search What the inside of a bad ABS unit looks like Losing rear brake after a good bleed.

    Cam chain replacement

I have been chasing a noisey valve train for a while now. I have checked the clearances twice now over 40,000 kms which were fine both times. Apart from the chain stretch there was no wear on the sprockets so no problems accepting the new chain. The camshaft journals and caps were perfect with...

Losing rear brake after a good bleed.

From what I found it’s moisture and dirt that damages the vented side of the pistons in the pump which then damages the seals allowing air into the brake system.

    Cam chain replacement

Hi all, Thought I would share what a 100,000 kilometre cam chain looks like. 2 photos of the new and old chains comparing the stretch of the old chain. There is no service schedule for replacement that I could find but at $60 thought it was worth replacing. Trigger wheel, rear chain guide and...

    ABS unit bypass pipe details

I get a few messages asking about bypass pipes so thought I would throw it out there so you guys and gals can get some made up should the need arise. Mine were made from 3/16”copper with a single flare and gave me no problems. Male M10x 1.0mm pitch long thread tube nuts. The length of the “U”...

Runs rough on hot or long runs

Hi TeneKym, It’s 3 years on now but thought I’d check if the stick coils fixed your problem? Mine is doing the same.

Losing rear brake after a good bleed.

Making up the U tubes is the best option, saves wrecking the original pipes. It then hydraulically bypasses the ABS unit completely. The ABS unit light still cycles so it will pass an inspection. Have a search for “ What the inside of a bad ABS unit looks like” for more info. Also fit a clean...

Has anyone heard of this before?

Now those of you that know my bike know it’s special but has this happened to anyone before? I hit a bird on route to work last week and ever since my bike has had a certain smell of death to it. Today it was stinking out the garage so I pulled the side fairings off to no avail then I tilted...

    Main ignition switch overhaul

Riding home from work today I lost the use of my indicators, park and tail lights.... the culprit. That’s the bottom of the ignition switch with the cover off. I thought I would share that you don’t need to rush out and buy a new immobiliser/main switch assembly if this happens to your bike...

    On road Power Commander tuning

You put a jumper wire between the two terminals on the clutch switch plug.... makes it punchy in the first 3 gears but you lose the start in gear safety feature.

No it won’t sadly. Have you tried the clutch switch mod... I personally don’t like it but some here do. Wiz performance in the UK offer bench flashing at a reasonable cost. I emailed them a while back but no reply. I think they were locked down at the time.
