Thanks for the input. Bottom line, I did some "off-road" (gravel, really) in Death Valley last weekend and found the ST just really heavy and had a hard time keeping up with the others. Trying to decide whether to sell and put the money into something more nimble but still highway capable or...
Didn’t think I’d be asking but...2014 non-es with 50k miles. Givi cases and a few other farkles. 2nd owner. SoCal market. What might I get for it? Prices seem a bit silly.

Not today but recently. Valves adjusted at 50k miles. They were in spec at first interval according to original owner. This time 6 of 8 were well out of spec. Good for another 26k.

Just had my 2014 checked and adjusted at 50k (miles). 6 of 8 valves were well out of spec and 2 were on the edge. I bought the bike with 45k from the original owner. He said they were in spec at the first interval. Dealer quoted me “about $900” to check and adjust. I found a highly regarded...
Ha! Thanks for the suggestion. I have a few of those around the house. I’d prefer something I could more confidently carry into a hotel occasionally. [emoji3]

Thanks

Haven’t tried without. I’m 6’3”. Stock with extension was just a bit short for me. Tall (which is 2” taller) with extension is pretty good. The extensions which are a knockoff of the MRA x-creen are about $35 on Amazon, maybe cheaper elsewhere.

2014 non-ES, new to me in May. Pretty sure the original owner didn't make any changes to the suspension so presuming all stock. Maybe original fork oil.
Might just go to fresh 5wt and see what happens. Thanks.
I had my suspension set up by a specialist a few weeks ago. He got it dialed in really nicely. He suggested I raise my forks by 8mm, which I did. I like the improved turn in. He also suggested I change my fork oil (likely long overdue) and go to a 15wt, then adjust compression and rebound to...
