This. If it is actually OEM, there is no way a stock exhaust S10 is louder then wind noise at speed and at that point exhaust note is irrelevant. The only bike I've had that makes less noise is my 200cc Van Van.

Hello from So Cal! Now that prices are really coming down, I'm planning on doing the same. If the right deal on a low mileage S10 comes across I'm upgrading my 12 to a newer ES.

I'd definitely be focused on the ABS portion.... The light and the fact even with a bad MC you will still be able to pull fluid through the bleeder with a vacuum.... Spending more time on bleeding seems like wasting more time and wont accomplish anything. Look for codes and start...

Everyone is different.... I'm through tires at 5k miles max on every bike from my HDs, ADVs to my 200 HP ZH2.... Some riders go as much as 15k miles with their tires on the same bike.... No one knows how those tires have held up or their condition now better then yourself...
