Airscrew Adjustment to fix off-idle stumble and Throttle Body Sync - w/ pigtails

The air screw adjustment is the single best thing you could do to this bike. Took about an hour. I did run into a vacuum leak using the stated hose size for the pigtails and the marginal spring clamps from the local auto parts store. The baro wouldn't seal. I ended up using the factory hose...

How to gain access to the Diagnostic Mode CO adjustment

Yes the wire needs to be grounded. I did try without grounding the green wire that only allowed access to diag function only. I didn't want to disturb the wire harnesss so I used a straight pin to back probe the connector the used a jumper wire to ground. I took the bike out for a ride it...

Please Read - A note about online Service Manuals

Hmm reread my post. I fully endorse/encourage everyone to get the factory manual. Just not the California edition as it is lacking some cool info. I would rather have the co adjustment then how to tell if the evaporate canister is crack and needs to be replaced.

Please Read - A note about online Service Manuals

Lol being a smog tech I should have known not to order the manual for my bike. I live in California and have the California model. The factory repair manual part #LIT-11616-25-09 lacks the section in 3-9 about The CO adjustment and is replaced by checking the canister ( for California models...

    Yamaha Tank Bag???

The tank bag is pretty awesome. The only thing I wish it had was a port for charger cables or for headphone cables. I ended up just running the cords from the bikes accessory plug and zip the bag all the way on that side.

    First service at 600 miles

I had scheduled to have my ST first service done at the dealer but I was racking up too many miles. I also read the thread about the rear diff possibly being low. I just inspected my ST to find the water pump has a small seeping issue from the rubber hose coming from the pump itself so still...
