Hello from central Kentucky! I previously owned a 2005 Yamaha Roadstar 1700 and loved the cruiser experience. I'd been without a motorcycle for about a decade when, in summer 2022, I rode a BMW 1250 GS in Utah and was impressed with its utilitarianism, the speed control its engine-braking provided, and how it very effectively cleared my head of preoccupations. I would've bought one, but I live 90 miles from the nearest BMW mechanic; so I decided to get the easy-to-maintain and ultra-reliable Super Ténéré. I found a 2020 model with 500 miles on it in Albuquerque, flew down there, then rode the beautiful machine home to Kentucky...just in time to have to park it in the garage due to winter weather. I'm looking forward to riding a lot in 2023 and way beyond -- and hopefully with other people -- as soon as it warms up.
