    Reseting cam chain tensioner

I took these pics. of my old 23P model CCT off of my 12 way back when the new 2BS CCT came available on the 14+ model and I upgraded my 12. Thought they might be of some help with Mr BR and his situation

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Also running the noco nlp14 for two years now without issue. I did find a way to mount to the noco terminal posts without modifying the stock connectors by mounting to the side of the battery post for the positive connection as noco allows the posts to be reconfigured if needed.

2013 Super Tenere Frame paint code

MXTZS10, I saw your post regarding trying to find a paint code for the dark metallic coloured paint used on the frame. I acquired my 13 Tenere in 17 and I I didn’t care for the matte Color of grey it was so I ended up repainting all the panels, tank fender etc. the same Yamaha blue that was...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Mounted up some new tires last week in readiness for my first ride (other than local) since all this Covid stuff began to the Quail motorcycle gathering in Monterey CA on May 14 and will be leaving Victoria BC Canada this Monday May 9. There’s a total of eight of us in our group with a...

    Corroded exhaust headder bracket

Nicely done. Yes, the metal used in the exhaust system is some grade of stainless that isn’t all that corrosion resistant it seems. My 2012 exhaust system was never quite the same after its initial adventure to Alaska and it’s ride to Prudhoe bay on the Dalton highway. The calcium chloride they...

    Fork seals extra washer

Judging by the colour of your fork seal, your installing SKF seals ? If so, on the two sets I have installed on a couple of Teneres that optional plastic spacer is not used.. Just follow seal installation per. the manual and you should be good to go. Mine were installed 40,000 km ago, and have...

    Final drive leak, both places?

Found this pic. buried in the Tenere archive regarding seal removal. I drilled a small hole 3/32 hole ( being careful to not drill to deep and touch the inner bearing race) a small pull on the screw and the seal comes out pretty easily. Just note how deep the original seal is installed as there...

where did you TAKE your Tenere today?

It’s still a rare event to meet up with another Tenere 1200 rider out on the road, although the Tenere 700 is changing that a bit.

    Super Tenere Rally Arkansas, 2020

Looks our ride to Arkansas is cancelled due to covid19. This is very disappointing as I attended the 2013 rally and three of us were going to find a way south from Canada to attend the event. The deal breaker was the fact that the medical travel insurance providers won’t cover any issues...
