    Your favorite road .....

Either highway 12 in Utah or highway 12 in Idaho for pavement. Beautiful scenery, about 100 miles of twisty sweepers, Utah is over the Hogsback which is an experience that shouldn't be missed. Both have little traffic. Oh, the roads in the Black Hills, SD are awesome tight twisties but it is...

Best tire for most mileage on street.

Best wearing tire for me has been the K60's. 10k mile trip and the front still looked new and rear was good for a couple more thousand. If you can find a pre-China Tourance rear it will go 10k easy and rides very well. China made ones, not so much. I have 16k on a front that can go another 10k...

    Advice on a new Podcast

Listened to the first two. It is like listening to, instead of reading, ADVRider. Love it so far ::012:: Well, except for the basement, don't go there! I like the length, sound quality, and not dwelling on any topic too long. Oh and one suggestion. Please normalize the volume at a higher...

Bluetooth Headset. What would you recommend?

I have and love my Scala Q3. well 2 of them. Pairs to two different devices, FM radio loud enough volume, battery lasts exactly 8 hours. Exactly. Just another reference point.

    Just lost my job!

My old boss is the new #2 big boss at WIPP and another boss is heading down in 2 weeks to be #3 boss. I can put out a feeler if you want. I know they want someone for training as my current boss talked to me today about how I liked Carlsbad. I wasn't interested though. We are looking for QA...

    Just lost my job!

Sorry to hear that Ramsey. Any chance you can go up the hill and see what Los Alamos has to offer? I know they are hiring. Or Sandia in ALB, or WIPP in Carlsbad? Those are places in my nuc world near you. Sucks that you weren't given a retirement option considering you are 55. I have to...

Hard start fix coming from Yamaha

Haha. Just read this after posting my hard start in the other section. I used the kill switch off, turn key on, kill switch on and start with WOT. Started up in about 4 seconds. YEA!

    HARD START

Re: Very hard starting today Well the WOT procedure was needed today on my 2012 with 40k miles. Second time ever for me. I couldn't remember the process when it happened and then I DID remember this forum. Yea forum ::012:: I used the kill switch off, turn key on, kill switch on and start with...

Baja Designs, Onx vs Squadron for my Super Tenere

I am very pleased with the Onx. Saved my life once so it has paid for itself X1000000. They set mine up with 2 floods and 2 spots. I think the Squadron would just double the fun for not that much more money. I do like the direct, easy mount and looks of the Onx better though.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Stop! I want cruise control so badly I can taste it and confirming it sits lower is another checkmark.

    Relay draining battery?

Doing maintenance on the bike and I think I made the mistake of washing the bike and now it is pissed. After washing and doing the brake pads I noticed the Aux lights were on and the on/off switch was off. Went to on and back to off and the light went out. Later, I noticed the lights were on...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Great Success ::012:: Rode about 2k miles 2 weekends ago and then another 1700 miles last weekend (Big Sky Rally) and went over 40k miles on the 2012 so decided to do some maintenance. So... I washed the bike. Well, rinsed it off with pressure water anyways. Good for another year. Then...

    Corporate Terminology Definitions

*WORK LIFE BALANCE A very important philosophy. Since there are 168 hours in a week you should work 84 hours to maintain a balance.

Planning a 6 day ride, looking for input

I would not miss Zion and then Highway 12 over the hogsback in Utah. Since you are going to four corners, enter and ride up the Mesa Verde NP road and enjoy the park as well. The MVNP road is breathtaking. Then move on to Durango and ride up the Million Dollar Highway. Next ride the Colorado...

    LD Comfort base layers

Just finished a 3 day 1500 mile weekend where temps ranged from 95 to 108 all weekend long. Wore (and wetted with water on occasion) LDComfort stuff under Klim Badlands and stayed quite comfortable the entire trip. Except when stopped in the sun at those construction zones of course. Love my...
