I’m lucky enough to have a 2012 and a 2014.
Why does barkbusters show two different figments for these models?
What would stop me from using the 2014 kit for my 2012?
The 2012 kit appears to be more generic and fits other makes and models also.

Yeah I'm not so sure about that. I think some of the high mileage guys are seeing little to no adjustment needed at the second check interval even at 80k or more if they center spec. I think things tend to set in at first and then change very little (or slower) over time after that.

The newest CCT certainly didn't go down in price. It went up pretty dramatically. It also superceded all part numbers for the CCT from the original model to today.
Sure doesn't seem like just a different supplier to drive down costs.

I have a 2012 that I upgraded the OEM CCT with the 2014 version in 2014 with the following part:
Tensioner Assy, Cam Chain
Item #2BS-12210-00-00
It is my understanding there was another update to this CCT and the new part number shows up as follows for a 2022 model...

Excellent review thanks for posting that. Glad to see the newer EVO panniers are sealed at the bottom via welding and not a gasket/rivets.
I spent quite a bit of time with Jason on the phone at ADVMotorrad and he was super helpful and very detailed on the racks and their crashworthiness.

If you don't mind could you share some more details of the mounting racks? Especially the connection at the left and right footpegs. It appears Bumot does not provide any reinforcing plate behind the left exhaust/footpeg side bracket, they instead only provide spacers if your bike doesn't have...
I've checked out the Bumots and I like the case. The racks look pretty flimsy though compared to what I am used to on Jesse's.
I will give the Jesse's credit. I've had some pretty nasty spills and while I have bent racks and had to replace them (one hit even bent the stout yamaha subframe)...

I have used and abused a set of Jesse Odyssey II's and sadly a substantial crash folded my left bag and I am in need of a new set.
