5 Hours home using 4 straps in my F150.

I don't think that relay has anything to do with the factory grips. The service manual doesn't show a relay in the system. I would test the resistance of each grip at the connectors. Values you should see are below.

My guess... it is so the passenger's foot won't kick the rubber cap off when the bag is not installed. It is only on the LT side because the RT bracket is tucked inboard more and the passenger's foot is less likely to hit it. Next puzzle please. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do I need to put my tent in a dry bag for my upcoming trip to AK. I have dry bags for sleeping bag and clothes, but do i need one for the tent? The thing is going to be getting wet as soon as I take it out of the bag, is there something i haven't thought of? Allen

Just 3M tape, the automotive type, I use the stuff at work for mounting everything. The key is to clean the surfaces and heat them up just a bit.

Made these from a sheet of 1/8" Kydex. Created the pattern using a Manila file folder, its reversible for LT and RT. Heated with a heat gun and formed, then immediately cooled with a rag soaked in icewater. Huge improvement in cold weather.

In preparation for my May 20th trip to Alaska, I have been getting the bike dialed in. Mounted my Tourmaster Synergy controller to the bottom of the left switch pod and hard wired it to a Firstgear coax port. Made a mount for my $9 Kmart gas jug using some aluminum scraps and poor welding...
