I don't think that relay has anything to do with the factory grips. The service manual doesn't show a relay in the system. I would test the resistance of each grip at the connectors. Values you should see are below.
I wrote the OEM part numbers off the bolt bags down before I started the installation. might help...

My guess... it is so the passenger's foot won't kick the rubber cap off when the bag is not installed. It is only on the LT side because the RT bracket is tucked inboard more and the passenger's foot is less likely to hit it.

Do I need to put my tent in a dry bag for my upcoming trip to AK. I have dry bags for sleeping bag and clothes, but do i need one for the tent?
The thing is going to be getting wet as soon as I take it out of the bag, is there something i haven't thought of?

Made these from a sheet of 1/8" Kydex. Created the pattern using a Manila file folder, its reversible for LT and RT. Heated with a heat gun and formed, then immediately cooled with a rag soaked in icewater.
