I feel the need . . . . the need, for speed.

"They" say that his collection of 180+ cars and 160+ motorcycles is valued at between $50-100 million. That's quite a range, and seems light to me. He has some seriously high dollar cars.

FWIW:
Pretty sure that the total worth of Ralph Lauren’s car collection while smaller in size quite surpasses Jay Leno’s collection's total worth.
Talk about some seriously high $ cars.... o_O

Ralph's collection is for status and bragging rights; maybe investments. Jay's is because he's a car nut. I'm bettin' that Ralph doesn't have any steam drivens, or even works on his own cars. Could be wrong though.

I think you are correct. Even if Ralph does dabble with his shit, NO ONE knows their cars and bikes as intimately as Jay.

My favorite part of a jet bike is the startup noise. Here's Jay's. Starts at :56. This would be my orgasmatron.

A number of years ago when I was still working (flying LE helicopters), meet a person at Santa Monica airport who said he had an interesting motorcycle in his hangar that my partner and I might like to see. Went over to the hangar, and he had the jet bike, same as Jay Leno, but his was painted like an F-86 jet fighter. One pretty bike, and he started it for us, felt like I was starting my helicopter, just fantastic. Of course he had his Robinson helicopter also in the hangar, and an Enzo at home. Talk about money.

The engine in the bike is from surplus OH-58 Army helicopters.

I saw Jay Leno and his turbine bike at the Rock Store in SoCal one time, a place he frequents with all kinds of interesting vehicles. When he went to start it up everyone crowded around. Jay turned around looking to the rear and told the folks standing there “you guys might want to move”

I also suspect Jay is a lot more approachable than Ralph. Although Ralph will be dressed better. :D

Jay is completely down to earth, he’s just an honest gearhead. Completely approachable and unpretentious.
