I stayed at the Stone Village Tourist Camp in Fort Davis recently. Quit , clean place to stay and the store next door has great breakfast tacos in the morning. In Marathon the Oasis cafe is a good place to eat breakfast or lunch they close at 2 pm.

Another riding day. Man the weather is gonna kill me. Lol. It’ll be another 200 plus day guarantee. Tomorrow wind day. Pickup day and chores.

Yeah, it's hard to complain about upper 70s. But, I'm so over the wind. It seems like it hasn't stopped in weeks. Last week when I went into town, I had a 20mph headwind out of the South. By the time I started home, 20+mph headwind out of the North.

Yeah, I've noticed my mileage is lower with a crosswind, than it is with a headwind. Don't understand the mechanics on that.

Having just got back from my hometown (New York City) I can confirm that I'm spoiled by the all-year riding weather in Texas. While I do really wish there was more public land here (for OHV trails like in NM, UT, etc.), TX is a great state for riding!

P.S. I'm game for a Hill Country ride whenever. I ride all year here. If I want to ride hard, maybe I'll skip the coldest days. Otherwise, it's the cooling vest in the summer and heated jacket liner in the fall (aka TX winter) here. It'd be great to meet some of the south central TX inmates and take on some twisties :)

This fall has been one of the best weather fall season I can remember. I’ve easily ridden between 2 and 3 thousand miles in November. And thats local riding. Knocked out another 265 miles today. Gotta love it.

Speak for yourself. :D Above 35F, and dry. . . . I'm on a bike v. Jeep. I don't have an upper limit. But, yeah, I've noticed that since the weather has cooled, there are a lot more bikes on the road. Starting to see groups of them heading through town to the South. Saw a new RT last Friday.

No upper limit huh. Lol. We’ll have to put that to the test.
