. . . . How do you actively use the suspension? Do you ever change it? when? Is it an off road/on road thing? Just not sure how I should be taking full advantage. Also on the traction control. Same sort of questions
Preload pretty much stays the same; until your "starting" weight changes. ( I estimate each helmet = 200lb-ish, and luggage = 50-ish, max load is 450lb) Your rebound & dampening will change with your surface(s). And, that is the million dollar question. Best way to figure out your settings is to go out, ride, and make changes 'till you like the way she's riding. Go from hard to soft, and then +3 to -3. Making big changes at first will tell you if you're in the right area. When you get it close, then make smaller adjustment, 'till it's close to perfect. Obviously rough roads will have different compression & dampening than smooth roads. But, you preload is only weight specific, not road surface.

I'm a pavement princess, so I can't tell you a thing about TCS.

Or anything for that matter. Whether it's actually costing more to produce/supply or not . . . . that's going to be the excuse they use for everything. The latest BS I've heard is that car dealers are refusing outside financing. So now that a person has payed over MSRP, you have to eat another turd, and finance through them.
For sure. I know its affected everything. Shit it took me months to finally get a set of tires for one of my HDs. Unfortunately not a set Id normally run, but beggars cant be choosers right now. Fortunately my other bikes I have a spare set of tires set aside for them already. One of the worst Ive run a set of tires down too. This bagger is parked till I can get the set mounted.

I know a few Ducati riders and they all have had great things to say about the dealership. Visited a few times after they picked up BMW but holy cow you are right. Salesmen was a good guy and I appreciated his time. But, shop rate $140 for new, $200 for vintage bikes. I asked what is vintage? 2010 and up for non-current models! Vintage
Never had any issues with the dealer myself, they are actually a great group of guys. They just do not budge on pricing for their new stuff, unless its a couple of years old. I own a 2016 1200r monster so I do go there when needed, but no service as of yet. I was looking to possibly purchase the new Scrambler Desert Sled this spring but their MSRP for pricing was the best they would do, plus all other related fees. The salesman tried the 'better put money down on it now, it will go fast' with me, bike is still on the showroom floor. Their dealership sells Ducati, BMW, Royal Enfield and MV Agusta.

Well as an update. I worked out a fair deal to trade in my 2012 on a low mileage 2019. Had my two items of cruise and ES. Not a fan of the color so may look at painting or wrapping the tank. But the dealer gave me a very fair trade and is letting me pull off the big ticket items I want like bags, rack, exhaust, etc. Pick it up next week.

Look forward to another 10 years and 40,000 plus miles

Congrats on the new ride. Somebody found a vinyl graphics kit for the Tenere. The decals were blue/white/black IIRC. Looked good, and would match the blue rims perfectly.

Got to bring the 2019 S10 home on Wednesday. Took the long way home and oh my what a great decision. Love the suspension tuning and the cruise. Spent the afternoon putting on the bags, Akrapovic exhaust, seats and my Techspec grips came too. Wnglets are inbound. Need to order the decal kit and decide on crash bars/skid plate combo. Oh, and aux lights.

Nice bike! I had a 2012 ST with flashed ECU and sold it. Started missing it and bought a 2014 ST non ES with cruise, flashed ECU, heated grips, Seat concepts seats, LED lights, Yamaha luggage, and Ohlin suspension front and back. I put winglets and could not tell much difference in wind or noise. We just finished riding to Death Valley and the bike was flawless. I put new Michelin Trail 5's on it and am ready for next trip.
