It didn't just happen.
The number of torn/cracked points in the carcass and clean tear at the mold line indicate low pressure, which creates heat. Just add wear and somebody who rides on while ignoring the cracks to get that kind of delamination.

Get it all the time here CW. Old tyres, unchecked tyres, highway speeds, delam for the next rider that is not expecting the expected....

A common upgrade for the Stag is the V8 Rover engine i think.
Yes, it was. The 6 was prone to overheat (and the ally head was prone to damage if not warmed up right - that is a 40 yr memory and I may be confusing the Lotus Esprit in the mix... I am off to check)

Got it completely wrong. It was an 8. I thought they changed a six to the Rover v8. But it a badly designed v8 with head and cooling probs(?) after a quickscan
.

Just saw that Honda is now producing a new Rebel. It's the 1100c.c. motor from the AT. DCT is also available. I just don't see the purpose of it.
