Hello there,

I know and had already GIVI panniers (Trekker and v37 tech), and wanted to change so I checked the forum and found this unknown brand (for me) : BUMOT.
I went on their website and checked few youtube video, they seems very serious and tough and handy, so I ordered a pair of DEFENDER EVO panniers (40/36 liters) and a top case (43liters)
I wanted a big one like GIVI does, a 58liters , but could not find any.

I chose the medium size also because of the width and weight
  • 35L / 31L – Width 86 cm
  • 40L / 36L – Width 92 cm
  • 45L / 41L – Width 98 cm

Weight :
  • 35L – 5.6kg
  • 40L-5.83kg
  • 45L – 6.4 kg

I dont know them at all, Im not a sponsor, but they are very quick by email and they also gave me a PROMO CODE for an always nice -10%. (BMT10)

Price without VAT 1366 US $. (2 panniers + top case + all mount racks )

You probably know this brand and those panniers, so I won't post zillions pictures when I'll receive them, and for those who wants toas me a message

Stéphane

I have Bumot Defenders (pre Evo) on my GSA

Highly recommend them. Well made, strong, waterproof, powder coated inside and out. I really like the friction hinges on the panniers and t'box so they can act as small tables etc.

If I had to find a fault it is the very small key that is provided with the luggage14a FRI 15 JUNE. Picos Ride-Out. Hotel Oso to Riano.jpg

I have a Bumot Defender top box ... very pleased with it, well made and the S10 fixing plate was easy and seems really sturdy ... the friction lid is handy, I paired it with the Givi Alaska panniers but I believe the Bumot panniers are great ... enjoy!

I'm a fan of my Bumot panniers and top box. I have the large panniers and my wife has the next smaller ones on her Tiger 800. Very solid equipment.

I can confirm that the large or medium panniers can each fit one standard U.S. case of beer - that's 24 12 oz cans. There is room to spare and the weight wasn't an issue - 18lbs or a little over 8 kilos. Clearly I have my priorities. I can also confirm their general usefulness for grocery shopping. Oh, yes - they will let you carry a lot of stuff for touring, too.

I really like the Bumot kit, I was going to buy them before someone sold me some Givi racks on here so I went with 37 litre Givi Dolomiti cases and 30 litre top box. I saved some money but still would have liked the Bumots.

I just mounted the rack plus the top case this is heavy, serious :)
Yes it is heavier than plastic kit, +6 kilos (13 pounds) but this is exactly what I wanted, I will mount the kit + laterals panniers tomorrow.

btw your GIVI kit is good also ;)

Ordered mine too, middle size. Could not find any better ones anywhere.
Any thoughts on the topbox? Can the big sized one hold a system helmet?

I had the medium defenders on my Africa Twin, got the large evo cases this time for the sooperten.

If I was doing it again, I'd get the large defenders instead. I think the lid/case interface is better.

Check the bolts they sent! When I got I mine back in November, two of the four large bolts were the wrong thread pitch. Had to dig thru my spares for the right ones. Parts guy musta goofed. No big for me, I wrench enough to have caught the screw up before it ate threads, luckily.

Damnn, I checked the video assembly on my phone and did not noticed I had to use a LONG and a SHORT spacers on the SAME side ...
I mounted both long one on same side and both short one on exhaust side and thought they gave me wrong spacers.

Now I checked the video on my comp and just noticed that, what an idiot I am
