Pretty simple. When you get a puncture, you can plug a tubeless tire, inflate it and ride on. No need to remove wheel, break bead and replace or patch a tube as is the case with tube type.

As a commuter, at least once a year I'd end up using a plug to get home from work. (DC requires rear wheel to the curb)
Pulling the wheel to get to a tubed tire on a 700 lb bike with boxes and no center stand downtown would suck. (Center stand got removed to tow a trailer and was left off)

Plus, when tubeless go flat it is usually not the instant loss of pressure and control that happens when a tube breaks.

Tubed or tubeless makes no difference to me. They both have advantages and disadvantages. Tubeless advantages are as Bob described. Tubeless disadvantages are you being stuck if you flat spot the rim. I always carry a spare tube regardless of the bike I'm riding.

I will say I really like having the center stand on the Super Tenere. It makes wheel removal a breeze!!

Oh for a centre stand on the Terra lololol!!

Balancing on a fulcrum stick is a little tricky... :D

Just another reason to own a Tenere

and big BMW motorcycles have tubeless tires .
and the big GS has a single sided swing arm shaft set up and to remove wheel remove lug nuts , simple .
and flats never happen when it is convenient .

Update.......I just cracked 11,000 miles on my 2019 R1250GS. Still no issues or problems. Will be going in for my 12,500 mile servce very soon. I will get back to let you all know the cost. I will be needing tires soon too.

I just love this bike, the best!

I just love this bike, the best!

The valves are real easy to check. If you take your time it might take an hour. Mine were all in the center of the range at first check. 22,800 trouble free miles on mine. If you don't do any off roading consider Dunlop Roadsmart 3's. They work great on the GS and wear very well.
