Afternoon ‍♂, was the CCT a Yamaha part or Aftermarket?? I'm considering a Aftermarket manual CCT for reliability reasons.
Thoughts ?

A little reading for ya ! :) I personally would suggest the Graves for many reasons. Ive installed and messed with them all, and I've installed a "few"......

I washed it! I also installed a new Puig windscreen and ordered Givi crash bars, the factory skid plate and the Yamaha wind deflectors. Pics to follow...

While the rear wheel was out for new bearings, I removed the dog bones and lower shock mount and greased the relevant bearings. Easy and quick job.

Starting to wear the paint on the sides of the tank. Got some Tech Spec tank pads.

I guess I never noticed that you used Mastec bars too. I don't know why they're not more popular.
PO's choice. They don't go as high, but are sturdy and have protected pretty well. Battle tested, I just keep a supply of touch up paint. If I were buying new, I would get someting that protects the radiator better.

You go w-a-a-a-a-y further off road than I ever will, so they're likely to be fine for me.

Installed the BarkBusters VPS Hand-Guards.

IMG_8868.JPG

The Inner Clamp-Brackets that come in the Super-Tenere kit would not work with my ProTaper ADV Bar.

I had to buy a separate inner Clamp kit for larger "Tapered" Bars.

IMG_8817.JPG

I also got the add-on plastic "Skid-Plates" for the ends of the Guards.

IMG_8807.JPG

The rest of the install went fairly easily.
I had to slightly re-clock my front brake hose to get everything to fit properly.

Real Nice. My wife starts complaining if I spend what those run. I just looked at them, before ordering a replacement OEM guard for $25. I need the RockBuster version anyway.

Okay, not exactly today, but yesterday. Changed out the rear tire. Put on a Shinko 705 "Trail Master". Bike isn't on the road yet, so don't know how it is. Just thought I would get ahead of the game as the Heidenau K76 I had on was pretty much worn out and had big slash on one of the tread blocks.

I had Baglux tank covers on both my Africa Twin (original type) and my Varadero. Apart from tank protection they were a good place to zip tie on map holders and I would even occasionally use it to clip the tank bag to. This has me thinking, have I still got a tank bag knocking about lost somewhere?

installed my new rock deflector. After seeing it I refuse to to call the factory "skid plate" that. No way it will take much of a hit but I'm to old for much more than a poorly maintained road so its better than the plastic stock one. Also installed a new Puig windscreen. It's nice for colder times but the stock one will go back on come summer. Crash bars come tomorrow, Yamaha wind deflectors on Tuesday. Now just need consistently good conditions to start riding regularly.

I'll just leave it here as a reminder fo everyone interested - never use external TPSM with rubber valve!
Yeah, you guessed right
Yep.... found out the hard way myself a couple months ago on a trip, in a county with no motorcycle shop. I had to go to a automotive shop. They were able to hook me up. Luckily one of the guys working there rides. It was in San Saba, Texas
