Visited New Zealand late in 2019 (just before the Covid thing hit, or just before we realized it had hit). What an amazing country, the views are as if landscaped by God himself. My dream would be to return and do a motorcycle trip of both islands, particularly the south one.

I fitted my Altrider bash plate yesterday as well. I have a single small washer left over, not sure where that was supposed to go!

Not today but recently. Valves adjusted at 50k miles. They were in spec at first interval according to original owner. This time 6 of 8 were well out of spec. Good for another 26k.

Howdy! Figured I would share. What I did today. :)

So about 2 weeks ago I got my new to me 2013 Tenere. The prior owners had done a wonky seat mod with as half ass grommet. I wanted to do the same but lower the seat. Called the local parts shop, no grommet ( 22w-24741-00 ). So I was like damn, oh well.

But looking closer I figured why not put my 3d printer to use. So I designed a part that needs no holes drilled in the metal retainer. Just slides in and is held with tension, plus the plastic high/low bracket. Took a few trial and errors to get it right, but will say I am very happy! Designed this in Tinkercad and the printed with PETG, so should be pretty durable.

Quick Video of installing it.

I installed a new battery yesterday. I went from the Yuasa YTZ12 to the Yuasa YTZ14 and It make quite a difference with cranking. I really think that Yamaha under spec'd the battery for this bike using the YTZ12.
Nothing to mod for the new battery? Fit right in place of old one? I do notice it seems slow to crank.

On one hand, I agree. On the other. . . . my YTZ12 is over four years old, and has been killed twice. . . . and still starts the bike every time. . . . albeit on the slow side. My optimate charger is telling me that it's still good. That being said, I also plan to trade up when it finally bites the big one.

I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide.
Ever wonder how the F this thing is still running?

Did plugs today. Plug 3 & 4 had the gap of 0.49 0.50 I did these plugs 32,000 miles ago. Guess Ill stick to the 20k the book says to do.
Honestly shocked with both on the same hole that I was not having a misfire/stalling.

Got out of the bamboo shack today and pretended the Terra was double in cylinders and engine size. Not fooled.....

Scheduled Ten and T7 is unscheduled with the usual "But Sirrrrrrrrrrrrr..."

Apologies....thought this was "what did you do on your...", not "....do TO..."
