Very sorry to hear that you were sick and needed a COVID-19 test done, here in Wisconsin the tests are free but only if you actually have the symptoms
Thank you. Fortunately I was negative.Very sorry to hear that you were sick and needed a COVID-19 test done, here in Wisconsin the tests are free but only if you actually have the symptoms
Hmmmm...sorry to hear all of this.I have a hard time believing any mainstream media no matter what the source. There is so much that happens on a "need to know" basis that any comments made by the media in regards to military life are almost always inaccurate info.
Times change for sure and even I could be wrong. I was sharing my personal experiences having served and speaking to my fellow comrades who recently served.
I have lived in California most all my life born and raised. My state attracts all the freeloaders and freaks from around the world. It's a criminals paradise. So many of us want to move out but are unable due to obligations or situations.
If you are from another country and want free healthcare and welfare, this is the state to be in. My cousin works for Social Services. It takes only 6 hours to get a welfare check and EBT card if you know how to lie on the forms.
Vaccines and COVID tests here are the same way. I recently got a COVID test at a "free" super site. I filled out the info honestly and put in my insurance info. Yesterday I was billed 350.00 for that test and I'm waiting to see if my insurance will pick any of it up. If you are homeless or a convicted felon, you simply put that info into the form and the test is 100% free.
Right now I'm dealing with stuff that is unimaginable. I'm so damn frustrated with Californias system. I'm holding on to a thread of hope that my honesty and integrity will win out in the end.
Oh forgot...in the U.S. you pay, here in Canada, we wait.Hmmmm...sorry to hear all of this.
I guess there's more to life than a great climate.
I'm in Ontario Canada and our province along with the other nine provinces each have their own health care systems.
Although it's a "free system" not so fast, as they do not pay for everything, yes they do for major things.
Nothing is "free" though as it all is reflected in our taxation system.

We had a vacine ready to go in Jan 2020 as we were already working on the Ebola virus. The University put the money up front to get it going. Thats why it was so quick.I'm very ambivalent about getting the vaccine. I am under 50, in pretty good health, retired/work from home. I'm not anti-vaccine, but I am a bit skeptical about the speed that this one was developed.
I am happy to wait a while and let all the people who are high risk get it, along with all the people who are high drama.
When it's convenient for me I will likely get it. I'm also waiting to see travel restrictions (within the USA borders) for non-vaccinated personnel. Ze Papers, Please!!
And, it's not a train this time.. . . . I'm seeing a light at the end of the tunnel!
IF I'm reading the graph correctly. . . . it wasn't until about two weeks after the second dose that the new cases started dropping. Regardless, the proof is in the pudding. One dose, two doses, it doesn't matter. It obviously is working. And, I haven't heard of any extra arms, legs, or eyeballs popping up/out as a side effect."Israeli study finds Pfizer vaccine 85% effective after first shot"
Israeli study finds Pfizer vaccine 85% effective after first shot
The first dose of Pfizer Inc's (PFE.N) COVID-19 vaccine is 85% effective, a study of healthcare workers at an Israeli hospital has found, potentially fuelling a debate over the recommended two-dose schedule as governments try to stretch out supplies.www.reuters.com
Unbelievable that people still argue against it.
Totally with you, Jeff. What I find interesting is that the press is constantly scaring us about the mutations/variants of the virus and how they are more infectious, deadly and resistant to the vaccine, they are even claiming that some of the variants are now the dominant strain in certain geographies.
Thank you for that info!! I'm 60 and only 2,000 miles away. I just might drive on out and get mine!!Indiana finally dropped the age limit to 60+ yesterday so I jumped online and made my appointment for Tuesday March 2nd. It will be the Pfizer jab.
I'm ready
In the UK, with 25% of the adult population now vaccinated (1st dose) we are seeing significant falls in infection rate and are about to release restrictions againAnyone have any guess on how far the cases will fall after all vaccines are done? My guess is zero. Too late now to save USA. It was too late the first day the first person brought it over here.
