I've seen a few youtube videos where doctors say not to use Ibuprofen or aspirin as it can cause a reduced effectiveness of the vaccine. Don't know if its true or not but though I would throw that out there for all to consider.
It's true. . . . ish. . . . don't take it before the shot. There was a doctor on the news advising against "pre-shot" ibuprofen. From what I could understand, the ibuprofen blocks, or interferes with the vaccine. I'm guessing that when the symptoms start, that means the vaccine has been "absorbed" by your body. Then ibuprofen is ok to take.

I got a long wait for mine. Governor is ordering next wave to go to prisoners and homeless. Good news is the rapists, child molesters, car jackers, non violent gun criminals (you know the kind who point a loaded weapon in your face), burglar's, etc are all first in line. That way they can be released early on the street to commit more crime COVID free. Oh and let's not forget collect welfare on the taxpayers dime.

My wife who is in renal failure will just have to wait. And people ask why I don't like the Democratic party. Now you know.....

That is the price of democracy - you (as a society) get the leaders you deserve...

Hey Chris, California just announced a couple of days ago that folks under 65 with compromising health conditions will be eligible for the vaccine starting 3/15/2021. This is good news as your wife and mine will qualify even if they are not yet 65. They are working on securing a supply of the vaccine and determining what proof must be provided for eligibility. My wife suffers from congestive heart failure and won't be 65 until August. I'm disappointed this will still be another month but it's better than waiting until August or Fauci's predicted "open season" in April. His predictions have not all been on-point that's for sure. Folks 65+ have been eligible now for about a week. Getting an appointment can be a challenge though. I happened to be staring at the website at the moment Ventura County added new appointments last week, and managed to snag one for later today.

Can we keep the negative politics out of this? Thx
It's really hard to do Bob when you have these idiot politicians making vaccine decisions favoring prisoner reform and homeless drug addicts living in wet houses and the streets. I get they are high risk. OTOH what about the hard working "high COVID risk" taxpaying citizens following the rules that are put on the bottom tier?

I sure hope so Jeff. Our DaVita PD nurse is working hard on getting the vaccine to my wife as soon as it becomes available. A go around for me is to label myself a caregiver. Right now it's all questions and not many answers.

Got the 2nd shot today. No real side effects yet. hopefully, none tomorrow. Looks like I'll be snowblowing up a storm.
Well, it took awhile but started feeling some aches last night. Mostly in my joints. This morning did a (very) little shoveling and was exhausted. Been sleeping (or trying to) most of the day. Now I'm sore all over. No fever though and when I move around a little it helps.

Thankfully, the 12 inches of snow we were supposed to get last nite turned out to be about 6. And it's actually over 30 deg for a change. The wife insisted on running the snowblower which turned out to be a comedy routine in itself.

That pretty much described my experience. Couple of ibuprofens, good night of sleep, good-to-go the next day. It seems to take 24 hours to kick in, and another 24 to leave. I'll take it over the alternative.

Got jabbed earlier today, didn’t feel the needle at all and no symptoms for about 2 hours at which point I started feeling some sinus symptoms, sleepiness and a low grade headache. Had some dinner and watched some TV and that funkiness seems already to be clearing. Starting to feel the jab site pain a little now though.

So once again it’s the poorest that pay the highest price? How would you feel if they said Billionaires get the vaccine first followed by millionaires etc etc? Based on the fact that they are the wealth creators and without them you wouldn’t have a job or pension?

Where did that come from? The poorest are getting the best treatment on the hard working mans dime. And excuse me if I don't agree that a child molester or rapist gets the vaccine so they can get an early release from prison to commit more crime.

And BTW, look around and I'm sure you will see not all of us are relying on someone else's wealth for our job or pension.

That's not the vaccine, it's just how it feels to get old ;)
