Anyone here camping with a hammock? I’ve been using one for about 3 years now and was wondering if anyone else here camps with one
thats the opposite from me, I got to where I couldn’t sleep in a tent. The summers were just to hot and my back bothered me. So I gave it up and then 3 years ago picked up hammock camping on a friends advice. I sleep much better and cooler. I’ve had the Kermit chair for a long time. It takes up to much room packing but is just great after a long hard day of riding. So comfortable. I have a simular style table I normally carry as well. Makes coffee in the morning easy when dispersed camping.Well 35 years ago I did. I still have one I use in camp for relaxing sometimes. Too hard to sleep in these days.
I just love the Kermit chair!! I don't have one but it's on my wish list!!
i get that, it has taken some adjustments to get comfortable with the lack of gear storage. Mainly I am using the extra space in my panniers. Once my camping gear is out i have plenty of room for any other gear I may want to put in.Did the hang for a few years and went back to being a ground dweller. I sleep better in the hammock but enjoy the luxury of a 3 man tent to store all my gear indoors and give me room to spread out.
I worked that system for awhile. Now I just pull the panniers (Mosko BC 35's) and the rest of my gear, toss it all in the tent, and still have plenty of room to sprawl out. I also like the extra privacy of a tent to change clothes, etc. without having to deal with dropping the tarp flaps/doors.Mainly I am using the extra space in my panniers. Once my camping gear is out i have plenty of room for any other gear I may want to put in.
Gorgeous. The only hammocking I do, is in the back yard on our cooler days. Very relaxing.View attachment 78223View attachment 78224View attachment 78225View attachment 78226View attachment 78227
