The Super Tenere is rolling between 7- 8mph with clutch fully released at idle speed. Too fast when picking your way through rock steps and switchbacks. The factory tuning is not detrimental to throttle response when clutch is out and rolling. My bike is butter smooth from idle to redline.Since my Anthony tune, I've no issue riding at a walking pace in 1st gear with the clutch fully released in either S or T mode. Poor throttle response of the factory supplied tuning made this impossible and required use of the clutch for precise control.
I hear you there. I'm in the same boat as you with the knees. I have been riding off road on 38" seat high dirt bikes for so long I am used to shifting over and holding up bikes with one leg.The main issue I have with the Super Tenere is climbing up onto it with my arthritic knees sometimes. The loss of cartilage in my knees has also resulted in a 30" in seam where I used to be 32". I love it once aboard though.
