First of all Hi
I'm new here trying to wade through the posts and gain a bit more insight into the bike. but i would like some advice Ive
Been looking at a few Super Tenere's what would you guys recommend pre 2014 with full luggage and previous owner extras or pay a little more and get a post 2014 that maybe doesn't have the full luggage but has the newer model extras. As per usual im looking for the biggest bang for the buck oh and im UK based if that makes any difference.
cheers.

I'm going to echo Boris's recommendation. And, after reading the threads on "flashing" the ECU, I would buy as new as possible. There's some thinking that Yamaha continues to adjust the throttle delivery as the new models come out. I tend to agree. So. . . . good luck with your search.

Go with the 2014+ for the cruise control. I think you'll use it more than you think and if it's an ES then you get heated grips too. I like the bike best without all the extra weight of luggage. Unless you're traveling for weeks you may not need it. A 40L bag strapped to the back and you're good for weekends, maybe weeks! Best bang for the buck could be an older S10 but I think you'll enjoy a 2014+ more on every ride.

Quit your hating, brah science has show that adv bikes are better with luggage.

Completely agree with this! Top box and a 40L waterproof Lomo bag on the rear seat and all is good.

If you take a pillion I'd definitely look ti w post 2014 ZE, in the UK you get heated grips, a centre stand, top box rack, pillion handles and a much thicker pillion seat.

I wouldn't worry about mileage on a bike if there's good history.

Happy hunting!

It certainly is in the UK, I wish I'd known when I bought my Z lol.

If you have a look on the Yamaha website you can see the difference in the seats in the pics.
