Maybe someone can help me here... I cannot find the page in the dashboard to adjust the preload (passengers and luggage) y circle from grips to data to shock damping force. Off course the engine is running and in neutral. Thanks

I understand you have a 2019 XT1200ZE.

The procedure is simply to page through the function display using the menu switch. Only the grip warmer, info display & damping force are available functions when riding - the preload adjustment will only appear when the bike is stopped with the engine running, best without any load on the bike to give the servo a chance. I assume the dash is reporting that you are in neutral & you have no ES warning light. It is possible to overheat the preload servo, but the system should always reboot itself once it cools down after around 6 minutes.

If preload still isn't showing for some reason, then it will be a trip to your dealer to check for codes, as late model bikes require an OBD reader.

This has happened to me a time or two. I'm not sure if it's something I'm doing wrong, or the computer is "glitching". Because, sometimes, it suddenly shows up as I'm pushing buttons/switches. My son says his FJR does the same thing. Like I said. . . . it's not out of the question that we're having a brain fart, and doing something wrong. . . . but , we don't think so.

Mine has never done that if in neutral and running. I'm pretty sure I have the kickstand up, but I don't think that is required. Once you get to the settings and try to change them is when I usually get the sequence wrong, menu select vs up/down.

It might have been a brain fart. My screen was stuck on a window with no data just blank. I turned the bike off and back on and the screen worked fine.

So. . . . the bike had the brain fart. It's not out of the question that the bike and I fart at the same time.
