On the way to the Back of the Dragon via the Rattler. Name or No-Name - the Appalachians just have some of the best riding. Now I am lying in my hammock in a thunderstorm and hope the tarp won’t blow away. Wish me luck!

Went for a ride to an area we tried a few years ago but got turned back because of some impassible when wet roads known to the area. The area is north of Vail and west of Green Mtn Reservoir. I was at McCord Pass at one point. It was a beautiful dry day with no rain the day before. So nice and dry with a a lot of mud puddles. I saw no one else for about 3 hours, then it was only cars on a main cross road by the Colorado River. The river ia a very busy place this time of year. The surprising thing was I did not see any other motorcycles even on the BDR part.

This is looking over one of the many valleys I went thru.

This is from the BDR trail on the far side of the previous picture. I was back by the rock wall you see in the distance.

That car wouldn't last too long on our roads. . . . Sparks, and pieces. . . . It is a McLaren isn't it?

Ya 720s it caught my sight because of the color. Agreed its very low however it has electronically controlled suspension so it can take some ruff roads since dtla is very bad. I've been through Tx but only on one of the main highways.

I'm still mesmerized by all that clean, unbroken asphalt. Real asphalt. . . . not chip seal. (there's that sudden feeling that I should be smoking a cigarette again )

Too much asphalt showing up here. Revisiting some Iowa Class B roads from my youth.

A little better on this stream crossing from the far side today. A couple days ago it was still wetter and was a little greasy when I hit the top a little too hot going this direction. No style points but kept it up.
