Just spotted a refund from the hotel on my credit card. I had offered her to keep the down payment I had made, but she refunded everything anyway! Hope we can go in September. Trying to be optimistic, but it could be that will still be too soon.

Do we have a Fall date? If not, we should start a poll and pick a date soon.

Hi all, I just tuned into this great thread and would love to join in if the Can/US border has reopened for leisure travel. Would take a couple reasonable travel days from home in southern ontario. I could make whatever dates work for the majority! Hope this comes together and would be a pleasure to meet all of you there! Cheers, Jeff

I'm pretty busy with family right now so will put this on the ol' to-do list unless somebody else wants to step up.

How about around the second weekend of October, which includes Columbus Day?

You can wait til spring if you wanna.

I rode AR last week for 4 days, & it was sublime.

I’m not waiting around on something that might protect me, if it’s ever made.

I’m not shaking hands & getting close to other dudes no matter what kinda scamdemic is going on.

SCAMDEMIC ! ! :D LOL General Maximus Decimus Meridius, I agree with you. I might have to peel out to Arkansas soon and just go RIDE ! I have friends that just got back from Arkansas last week, they said it was fantastic!

By the way, I see you're out by the lake, I'm in DFW, we all need to go ride sometime.

I definitely will not cower at home waiting for a vaccine. I am going to get out and ride while practicing what I consider appropriate protective measures that meet my risk tolerance .

Let's go ride soon brotha !

Just came back from SLAP 2020, AR is ready to ride
And for those heading through TN to get to AR, it is also ready to ride. Spent the weekend riding down there. Nice to remember what life used to be like.

Of course if you have to ride through VA to get to TN on the way...its depressing as hell. Wife had to talk me off a ledge after my first VA gas stop.

Yep. I've definitely slowed down in your State.

Please elaborate. What was it like?
Four wonderful days at a lake house in Tennessee with my Ohio based riding buddies. Guys I've been riding with for over 10 years now. Life was completely normal in Tennesse. It felt so good to eat in a restaurant, To look around and not see any obvious evidence of the last few months was so refreshing. It was greatly appreciated.

In Harrisonburg, VA I stopped for gas at a large, very popular Sheetz station. Lots of people everywhere, all of them wearing masks. No, no, no, no, no, I don't want to be here. I felt like I had escaped the land of the zombies, and now I'm right back to it. It was shocking and I wanted no part of it. I took no break, put the nozzle back in the pump, use my hand sanitizer, took off, called my wife and said I don't want to be here. She had to help me adjust my perspective.

Back in the office today. Wearing a mask walking in and around the building. Life is back to the "new" normal. I like the old normal way better.

Yes, I do recognize my thoughts and perspective may not be appreciated or condoned by many. That's fair.

Now back on topic...let's go to Arkansas.

August in Georgia is out, but son-by-law has never ridden any Dakota, Wyoming or Montana so he wants to go west in August.

Come on people, Mac, Gunner, DD, Jax, ChecksWrecks, Danny pick a weekend to fill my empty calendar!

My toy hauler is killing the back yard grass which annoys my wife. I need a reason to get it out!

On a side note I was at my Yamaha dealer today for a guardian bell and asked about T700. They should have one this month. So when I get back from the west coast I will try to get a demo ride! Who knows if I show up in Arkansas with a chain or shaft!

Really hopes this comes together and all the border nonsense is done with. Great reason to take some vacation time and meet some fellow riders. Stay healthy!
