Thanks @Highwayman I think I have a mod addiction. On another note I can confirm that zero modifications are required on 2016 so it will work on gen 2. The quality is amazing and its good 1/2 half inch wider and bit longer. Update 2/14 they sit a bit higher then stock so your shifter might need to be adjusted. It's the same difficulty to deploy the kick stand. Its harder now to pivot your foot and to move it back and forth. I can feel the teeth a bit more but I like it. More importantly the comfort difference is amazing and I feel I have more control now. I pushed it hard on some turns and no peg scraping. I will be removing the teeth because of the difficulty shifting View attachment 63370

Finished dash panel install which came from LB Products. Well fitting and liked the finish he adds...in fact liked it well enough to leave bare. Will have to find out if full sunlight creates a issue on that. Thanks LB for a nice economical piece.

so my new 2019 Tenere stock windshield is better than the 2012 stock windshield. the new stock windshield has no buffeting but puts the air at eye level. causing tearing of the eyes and loud wind noise in helmet. so I saved the aftermarket MRA windshield from my trade in , and took the bolt on spoiler and mounted it to my new stock windshield , and things are better now. kinda weird when you check out twisted throttle who sells MRA that the clamp on spoiler is 175.00 , the bolt on is 175.00 , or the replacement windshield with spoiler already mounted is 175.00 (the prices I have stated are within a few dollars ,just couldn't remember the exact facts , the gist is true.... so I saved the 175.00 by reusing the spoiler from the old windshield . did a test run up to 60mph and all calm around my helmet.

As the weather was shocking and my bike has 15k on the clock I thought I'd have a look at the state of the air filter. I changed the oil and filter before a trip at 10k and will change it again this week. The air filter didn't look too bad but for the sake of £13 I might as well swap it out.

While the tank was off I went a bit nuts and had a look at the state of the coils, I'm glad I did as the plugs should have been changed at 12k (oops!) but I'm sure they could have gone on for longer. The coils came out easy enough with a very small bit of rust on one of them, I'll leave the plugs in until I pick up new ones later today.

That is about as far as I want to get into the engine, when the valve check is due it can go to a professional!

I've got another 2k Scotland trip coming up in April, it'll have new tyres before then, while the wheels are off I'll change the final drive oil again and will grease the drive shaft.

I notice my bike has Galfer disks. Are they standard or has someone added them? Also, what do people do to clean the disk bobbins? On my 14 I put a bolt through and just rotate them a few times whilst spraying with brake cleaner

I believe that the Galfer rotors are what S10s are equipped with from the factory.

Noticed a small puddle of oil on the floor near the front wheel of my bike last week. I was disappointed to find the fork seal is leaking on the LHS. I priced up the cost of buying the seals and tools to strip the forks. I wasn't impressed... Then I found mention on here of a bit of plastic called a seal buddy to clean the lip of the seal. I got that and have tried it out and hopefully that has worked. I pumped the forks a few times and it seems to be clean. Fingers crossed it's fixed now.

Mounted my fender hugger and attempted to go for a ride. Dead battery even though it stays on a trickle charger. Last time I started it it was a bit slow. Pulled the battery out and what should have been the factory battery was a Parts Unlimited battery. Hmmm, did the dealer hoo-doo me?
