Few more-

Had an awesome time. Thank you to all my friends who showed up. Most are the same guys that travel the country and all have a common interest. What cool people all these Tenere folks are !!!

This was also the first trip out to Gateway, CO. If you have not ridden the canyon roads out to Gateway I highly suggest you add this to your list. I think others will agree. It will take your breath away. Absolutely spectacular!!!!!

It’s also fun riding on the edge of these canyon roads in the pouring rain as we did!!!! Lol. That will make your heart beat a little faster. Lol lol.

Had a great time and I really enjoyed traveling with my son-in-law. Seeing the previous posts, we missed out on meeting some of you which is our loss. Everyone we did meet was very welcoming of us first timers. We were the undesirables that KOA put in the “Harley section”.

The Ouray area was new to me, still just blown away by the scenery.

I learned a few things on this trip. 1) A $25 tent won’t keep the rain out.
2) My skills weren’t up to Yankee Boy trail. Dropped the bike, ashamed to admit it, three times in a washed out section of the trail. This is when you find out just how heavy the S10 is. Thankfully I was able to keep it upright coming down in the pouring rain.
3) AltRider engine guards are worth every cent. I’m leaving the small scuff on the bars to remind me of my skill set.

Biggest regret was not riding with you folks that knew the area better. Hope to remedy this next year!

Heck, it was worth the trip just seeing the mods on Tabasco’s bike. He has some amazing talents.

Didn’t take enough photos.

Hey Tabasco,
Actually that was my son-in-law. He does have some interesting aircraft stories. My job (recently retired after 42 years!) was a little less interesting. I worked with a non profit animal shelter.

Believe me, I’m already looking forward to the next gathering. And thanks for sharing the campfire.

You really did miss a good one. Great to see everyone again and meet some new friends. DM enjoyed the weekend and finally putting faces to the people she's heard about for years.

Yes, Gunner, she had no problem Tenere stickers on her BMW...multiple ones.

Getting to know the Utah crew was a lot of fun. Saturday night's dinner conversation lead by heberhog was a unique experience. Thanks, Kelly...you're a fun guy to have around.

Few of mine.

Leaving Sunday morning

Thanks everyone who attended. DM and I really enjoyed it. Special thanks to eemsreno for taking me out and showing me around. Much appreciated, even if I didn't survive too long that day.

Look forward to seeing everyone at the next "Official" Tenere rally.
I talk way too much... but the group was awesome... and so glad to have met all of you!!

Check out my odo when I pulled into the garage from Colorado. Oh so close! Should bust through 100K on my commute home tomorrow.

It was great seeing/meeting everyone. Always a great group of folks and tons of great riding. Can't wait to do it again (maybe a little closer to home?).

Lol
Very nice. If I had a bike like that I could stop carrying all those damn duffel bags.

Dirt_Mom and I arrived home today. It was a lovely 5,943 mile ride.

Thanks again to all who made the gathering happen. We both enjoyed it very much. Great to see old friends and meet new ones.
