Who is running bar risors?

I'm curious what everyone is using for bar risors and if cable modifications were necessary? I just picked up my new Tenere and am 6'1" and feel like I've got to bring the up and closer to me. There are a few options out there and I'm not sure which to get and if modifications would be necessary as I'm hoping to do the work myself. Thanks!

ROX risers. The hydraulic lines can be a bit snug, but there is a method for repositioning them. Jaxon sells extended lines if you have to. The throttle cables are fine.

I used 2 inch Rox risers. I tried to keep the stock brake and clutch lines, but even with the modification to the hose mounts which gives you a bit more slack, the lines were too tight for me.
Bought a set of Jaxon lines and happy with the results.

If I were to do it again though I would try a ProTaper EVO adventure high bar instead of the risers. Little more work as you need to use a tap to thread the bars to accept the stock bar ends.

Thank you, the rox was one I looked at and questioned the lines and helibars looked good too and wasn't sure on the brake line extension how hard that would be to work and then if down the road you need that brake line replaced, what do you do?

Helibars risers here. Very comfortable for long days in the saddle and transition from sitting to standing is natural. They come with everything including a line extender. Instructions are easy to follow.

Are there any videos? I tried searching YouTube but could really find anything, more due to my lack of computer skill than anything. Were they hard to install?

Rox risers here also. Stock lines still, and although no problem at full lock either way, they will be tight. Like what was said above, it works, but if you want longer lines, Jaxon sells them.

Rox Risers and ProTaper bars for me. Extended lines are a must, but they are not difficult to install.

I've got the Rox risers like the ones in the picture below. They come up and back just enough to make a big difference. Stock hoses and cables work fine.

I've run ROX risers on both Gen I and II. The Gen II has the 2" risers that rotate. They give you a lot more flexibility in your position than the Helibar risers, but both do a good job. No need for me on longer lines, just followed the AltRider modification video to give a little more relaxed lines. Easy to do.

The OP asked about risers and rides a 2018 from the sig line. For anyone reading this thread, remember that Gen I (2010-1013), risers do not fit Gen II (2014-0n). They can be bolted up, but don't fit quite right and are not as secure as you really want them. Get the correct style for your year of bike.

Have you ever owned a bike that you replaced brake lines on because you needed to? It's not that big a deal to have a local hydraulic hose shop make custom brake lines. Costs varies on what you want. ~$100-150 a line for each longer line. Short extensions likely a lot less. Helibar chose a smart method. Some will want one continuous line though and Jaxon at Ride On ADV has those. Advantage of all SS braided line instead of OE rubber and the extension, (which is probably SS braid).

I use the Heli Bar riser with Pro Taper Raptor bars. The wiring is long enough if you re-route it but I bought a second hydraulic hose extension from Heli Bars ($30) for the clutch hose. All is well.

Thanks for starting this thread it will likely be very helpful for me. The stock bars would most likely be fine for me but both of my wrists are messed up from my last deer accident 4 years ago, I used to think with time my wrists would improve but it actually seems more like they are getting worse. Risers that are a little up and back seem like what I probably need. Like most motorcycle parts prices they seem pretty high but I very likely will be buying a set one of these days.

I switched to pro taper raptor bars on my gen1 to improve the angle and that eliminated the shoulder and wrist pain an hour of riding originally produced. Then I added the 2" Rox pivoting risers to let me adjust the height. I had new brake and clutch lines made up at a local ParkerStore for pretty cheap. While the original hoses barely reached, I didn't like the apparent stress on the lines.

Handlebar Risers might cause issues with my Tankbag ?
Depends on how you have it mounted. Too far forward and interference can occur. You can usually find a happy medium between tank bag placement and bar/riser adjustment if using the ROX. The Helibar style is fixed, as are some of the ROX for the Gen I.
