Wondering what folks use as a lightweight bike cover. Use a cover more for what someone does not see reduces the chances of theft. Some nights when at motels, I leave the GPS & Spot Tracker on the bike. On my HD I have a lightweight nylon cover that when folded up take very little space in saddlebag.

Bike is a 2015 Tenere ES.

Thx for info!

I bought a cheap on off Amazon, it did not breathe, no vents, I uncovered to find a lot of moisture on the bike. It was nice and light though!

I've been using a Nelson Rigg UV-2000 in XL for the last 7-8 years. It's a half cover, but fits over the panniers and screen fine. Inexpensive, but does a great job of keeping prying eyes away. Easier to go after something un-covered. LINK It's worn out now and I'll be replacing it soon.

I noticed some bike covers at Walmart with the new Rust-Oleum® NeverWet® coatings that wasn't terribly priced. ~$50. Sold under the Budge brand. You can order different sizes online from WM or Budge. I really prefer half covers for travel. Lighter and less bulk, but still does the job and less likely to balloon up in the wind since the fit a bit tighter. I may just get another NR UV-2000 and call it good. All I did to that was add a couple of carabiners to clip the securing straps to the bike and it's done a stellar job.

+1 on all points.
Getting a half cover was a game changer for me for moto camping. I keep my jacket and helmet on the bike under the cover. I've even geared up under it.

I cover my bike daily at work. They last about 6 months before they get dry, brittle, and easily torn. The sun here will kill the plastics on a bike that sits out.

I have the same 2015 ES with the stock windshield and a laminar lip. This cover in XL https://www.nelsonrigg.com/covers/deluxe-all-season-cover-detail.html fits all the way to the ground with my Mosko Moto 35L panniers full. Very good fit and I got it for your exact same reason. Out of sight, out of mind theft prevention while travelling. Comes with a very good quality compression stuff sack and compressed it's approx half the size of a football. Well, an American football. LOL...

Timely thread.
I had just recently started a search for a cover that would fit the Tenere with side cases and top case, and packs small. Not so worried about long term outside storage durability or even real watertightness. Just fits well, isnt found in the woods in the morning after a bit of wind at a campsite and helps keep the bike a little less conspicuous.
Areostitch seems to have one that looks promising but pretty pricy.
Looks like a half cover might be worth considering also.

Here is the Nelson-Rigg MC-902-04 in X-large on my 2014 with OEM panniers and tall windscreen. I bought it as a dust cover and deterrent for curious throttle twisters in my apartment complex garage. For the price, it seems like a decent solution for this purpose.IMG_7159.JPGIMG_7157.JPGIMG_7158.JPG

I bought the same one back when I had my KLR, works great for the S10.

I prefer a car cover. It is completely covered. Some time ago, while driving, I saw how a spider (loxosceles laeta), potentially poisonous, got under the sleeve of my shirt .... I stopped and took out my shirt carefully. Apparently it was hidden in the clutch lever sector. Since that day, I cover it completely

I ended up replacing my worn out Nelson Rigg XL half cover with a new one of the same. The new one came with a stuff sack. An improvement over the bag w/strap that the old one came with.

Mine came with the stuff bag, when traveling I just roll it up, put a bungee around it, then stuff it in the pannier.

I was just looking for something to work for my S10. Usually during Winter garage storage I would put a Queen size fitted sheet over my ride, and check it weekly for moisture, even though it’s below freezing in the garage, we get some salt tracked in from the road. One can only shovel it out as best as the snowy tundra allows. Now I’ll have a better option to put over the soft sheet and to take on road trips. Thanks for the Nelson-Riggs suggestion. They had a good amount of options for almost any budget.
