I ran a set of K60's, and will not put them on again. I have never seen the TCS light up as much as it did on a wet road. Really was uncomfortable feeling riding in rain. Never had that issue with the E-07's. The 705's I had were as good as any tire in the rain.

The E-07 had some bead problems for a run of some of the tires. I have been dealing with a leaking front tire from the bead, and so far nothing has solved it for any length of time. So even with about 4K miles left in the front (12K miles total), I will replace them, and it looks like I need to try the GPS.

Ordered a set to replace the now discontinued Mitas. Anyone know why? I liked that tire.

Anyhow it looks like the rear is the only one you can put on in either direction depended on what you want to do with it. That sound right?

Want to do Tuk this year so I'm hoping these will last the entire 10,000 mile trip like the Mitas did.

Ordered the Motoz GPS couple of days ago from Rocky Mountain, and installed them yesterday in the 50/50 direction. Only have been able to put about 5 miles on them so far. "Buzy" is the word. Not bad, and from what I have read, it will go away in a short time. I hope they at least match the older E-07's, as I really liked them.

Initially I experienced a significant rumble from the front tire - especially around 30 mph/50 km/h - but it became increasingly less during the first couple of thousands kilometers until it reached a point where I didn't notice it anymore.
Now that the tires have done 25.000 km I've started to notice some vibrations again, especially at high speed (+90 mph). I believe that the culprit is that the front tire are starting to show some cupping.

Thanks for the thoughts on this tire. I really like the Mitas E07 and can't imagine why they would stop making them. For me the Motoz are looking good as a replacement for the E07.

Thanks. How is the GPS on the rear squaring off with the mileage you have?

Based on those photos, I think your Tractionators are wearing better than my E07's (the non plus version). I have about 9000 miles (about 14,500 km) on mine, and they definitely show more center wear than yours. There are always a lot of other factors at play when comparing relative wear with tires, but I'm pretty impressed that there's that much tread left in the center after 25000 km.

I've got one of those front Mitas tires too. Might end up also going with the GPS.

Not bad at all.
Just went to the garage to snap some pictures.

Wow, there is still a lot of meat on them for that mileage. Looks even more then where I would be at with the E-07's. That rear looks like it is good for another 3-4,000 more km's. The squaring off doesn't look bad at all either, looks on par to what I get with the E-07's.

You are absolutely right - and that's why it would be great if other rides who have experience with MotoZ Tractionator GPS on the S10 (like Rambler) would share it here in this thread.

I have a history of making my tires last longer than most. It's not a goal for me but a result of my riding style.
I mostly ride solo and prefer twisty secondary roads doing 50-70 mph. I'm a smooth rider that like to maintain high corner speed contrary to being hard on the gas/brake. I estimate that less than 1/3 of the miles on this set of tires have been on highway where I usually cruise around 85 mph. Less than 10% have been outside the tarmac.

But no matter what - I've never done this kind of mileage on any tire on any bike in my +25 years/+500.000 km of riding.

I pretty sure that it will be the wear on the front that decides when I replace the tires - it usually is for me no matter which tires I'm running.
If the vibrations from the front gets much worse due to cupping (even though it's not particularly bad right now), it will make me replace the tires before they are worn down. I'm very pedantic when it comes to how tires effect my ride.

There isn't too much info to be found about MotoZ tractionator GPS yet, but so far I haven't heard of any faulty batches of the tires.
I had a small issue with one of my tires though.

The day after I got them mounted, I discovered that the rear tire had lost half of the air pressure. After some investigation I found a tiny hole in the sidewall (just below the / sign).

Advspec where I had bought the tire offered to replace it cost free (they had never heard of a similar problem with the tires), but as I was heading out on a trip to Bulgaria a few days later, I didn't have time for that and came up with another solution.
A week earlier my girlfriend had the same tires mounted on her F800GS which shares rear wheel size with the S10 - and as the BMW run tubes, the tiny hole in the sidewall wouldn't mean anything, so I just switched the rear tires between the 2 bikes.

I just put 130 more miles on mine. A couple of thoughts. The rubber on the tires seems to be a harder compound then the E-07. The "buzzy" feel of my first ride was more road due to that. They seem to be no more or less "vibby" in most cases then the K60 or E-07. The harder compound means you do feel the road more. Good road grip.

At slow speeds, below 10 mph, especially around 5 mph the front tire feels "lumpy". Just like slow speeds on a tractor with ag tires on pavement. It disappears at any real speed.

The bikes front end feels lighter, and turns easier when you are rolling. Nicer in the curves. In the couple of miles on a dirt road, I had to watch myself as it was easier to over control, and even got the front end to oscillate a couple of times. I don't recall the E-07 ever oscillate like that. I read a couple of reviews that also mentioned that the front felt loose in the dirt. I will say they did have good grip in the dirt, and the oscillating could have been caused by me seeing how far I could push it. Any real dirt, and a knobby would be better up front.

I am running the tires at max, which is 33 psi for both.

Max tire pressure is not 33 psi!

This is a DOT marking regulation and is the MINIMUM inflation required to achieve the load rating.
Use the inflation recommended in the owner's manual.

I've run the tires at 33 psi front/39 psi rear.

Thanks, I will up the rear to 39 psi. Manual for rear is between 36 and 42 depending on weight. 33 for front.

+1 for the MOTOZ Tractionator GPS tires. I have over 8,000 miles of gravel, off-road and street miles so far. Looks like these tires will easily get me to 12,000 miles.

For off-road, I air the tire pressures down to 24psi. For street riding I keep tire pressure at 36psi.

I get a little street road noise from the front at speeds around 40mph, but it goes away above 50mph.

Tires balanced with no weights added to the rear, only required .25 ounce for the front.

I have the rear tire mounted in Off-Road direction.

A couple of days ago, I discovered a nail in the rear tire. When I removed the nail the tire leaked. I've plucked the hole for now, but will replace the tires shortly when spring arrives.

As mentioned earlier, there is still thread for at least a few thousand kilometers more, but at 25.000 km I feel that I've got my money's worth already.

As I don't plan on doing any significant off tarmac adventures on the bike this year, I'll replace the tires with a set of Anakee 3's.
If I need a 50/50 tire later on, there is no doubt that I'll buy MotoZ Tractionater GPS again.

A side note:
MotoZ Tractionator GPS is a taller tire than most. As a result the speedo on the S10 is closer to accurate with these tires than any other I've used on the bike.
