Good job on the PM. :)

But you put it back in the other way so it will be easier next time, right?

You can probably guess that I didn't! I did at first, but changed it back because I couldn't face taking it apart again later if there was a problem putting the exhaust on. I suppose I was being lazy. I now don't think there would be a problem, so next time it will be assembled how I'd like it (because I'm more familiar with the bike).

Not today, but added these very small but very bright lights to the underside of the handguards which I use in town or when filtering. Note, my intention was to be more visible, not to see more with. The light units are about the size of half a little finger.

You must be somewhere in Europe. The only state that I am aware of that permits lane spitting is California.
Don't try splitting in Canada.

Yes, am in England. Lane splitting is fine across most of Europe, although I did once get told off by a policeman in Germany, for lane splitting.

Finally got some crash protection.
Picked these up used.

They fit great, except the lower cross-bar (that goes across in front of the oil filter) will not fit with the T-Rex Skid-Plate.

Well done! I'll bet you saved yourself some money. Now for the piece that is incompatible, I'm sure that you will figure out a mod to make it fit. I'm just installing the SW Motech crash bars as I'm not an off-roader. These bars are heavy enough. What was the total weight of your bars?

That skid plate looks like it should be on an armored vehicle. I hope you don't have to remove it to change the oil filter
Ya, I forgot to ask or mention that. Oil filter oil changes. The SW Motech crash bars remain intact and there is no need to remove them for minor maintenance.
Also, I'm planning to use a thread locker, blue lok-tight. Just watched a video from Twisted Throttle explaining the installing of crash bars on a Beemer. There's no mention of thread locker being used??

I did not weigh these bars before mounting them....................I actually got excited to mount them after I cleaned them up, and totally forgot about checking to see how much they weigh.
I did use Blue Thread-lock on the mounting bolts. I didn't want to have any issue with vibration or any bolts coming loose.

With this Skid-Plate, there is no need to remove it to change the oil and filter.
It has openings under the drain-plugs, and a trap-door to access the filter. These features influenced my decision to purchase this skid-plate when I bought it.

This morning I installed a Powerbronze Beak (made in England) specifically for the Super Tenere
I really like the way it looks as it gives the front part of the cowlings and the headlight assembly some dimension and a distinctive finished look:

The actual beak (ABS plastic), the mounting bracket (metal, powder coated black) and the hardware are all pretty well made and the install was relatively straight forward but a bit fiddly.
