If you get as far as Vancouver island on your RR next summer let me know. We have one ride north scheduled for mid June with a few more of the local Tenere owners so we will be away our selfs during that time. After crossing the flat land on your way west you will be glad to see some mountains. ::008::

Been through Almonte a few times, as I do every summer on my way to grab the 15, then 511 and then get lost somewhere on a beautiful summer day :)

Cheers!

Greeting, Gobear, form Cape Breton.
I was in your neck of the woods back in Sept/ '18. I stayed in Renfrew both out and back from British Columbia. I'll be doing that trip again maybe in 2020 but if you want to see Cape Breton you'll have a tour guide.
Happy New Year,
Rick

Hi, I'm in New Brunswick, Canada. Really busy at work last season, was able to knock out a SS1000, and the Fundy Adventure Rallye, but not much else. Still trying to figure out where to go this Summer. Labrador? James Bay? Great Lakes 100 (IBA)?

Labrador is a bit boring if you want an Adventure ride up to James bay then take a right turn on the Trans- Taiga road. Take extra fuel as it’s about 700 km between fuel stops.

I'm in Stratford Ontario patiently waiting for spring to arrive so I can take delivery of my new 2018 S-Ten ES.
Traded in my 2016 Africa Twin, man I'm going to miss that bike! But looking forward to my new ride.
Hope to meet some of you S-Ten riders.
Best....SHUMBA

Hi from the centre of the world (Toronto) :)
Hmmmm, Toronto definitely NOT the "centre of the world".
I have a brother who lives in Toronto, poor sod, feel sorry for him. Sadly, Toronto has been poorly managed for some time now and is riddled with numerous problems, crime, steep increase in violence and murders not to mention the traffic problems.
I only pass by Toronto on occasion and only when I have to.

Fort McMurray, got a couple of us up here.
I had a job offer from Suncor long ago.
It wasn't a good enough salary to warrant moving from SW Ontario, shucks, We're still here.
Betcha our riding season is longer than yours..ha ha

Our season usually doesn't start until the end of March to mid April and ends mid to late October.

Hmmmm, heated gear maybe.? On that note, how effective are the heated grips on th Tenere? I'm really looking forward to warm comfortable hands. Can one wear a summer style glove on a cold day?

The heated grips are super effective! I'm wearing summer gloves year round on the coast. The backs of my hands get a little chilled after an hour or so of highway riding, but anything under 80km/h they do the job perfectly.
