What did i do with my Tenere today?

I sold it.

Great bike, i loved it greatly and will miss it but want something a bit more nimble. I will now patiently await the arrival of the Tenere 700!

LOF, final drive oil, brake pads all around, tighten spokes, new tires, new spark plugs, TB sync, air fliter. As soon as the ECU gets back from the reflash I'll pop that back in, button things up, throw the cover over it, and sit around bitching about the cold and snow for the next 4 months.

Around 54° earlier today so I took the S10 for a short but sweet 45 minute ride.
On the way back home stopped to top off the tank with Mobil 93 mixed with an ounce of Star*Tron for my S10’s semi Winter hibernation.

Reinstalled the Anthony flashed ECU. Fired right up, but unable to test ride due to weather and recent surgery. Should be rehabbed and taking it to AZ in Jan. Looking forward to the new feel.

Scuffed the new tires in and got to try out the flashed ECU (thanks Anthony!), she's a whole different machine now. Got @ 100 miles in, topped the tank off, and stuffed her back into the garage until Spring. :(
Though I've adapted very well to my stock bike I'm thinking about going ahead and getting flashed. Everything I've read tells me it's worth it and even though today was in the 70's this next week it's gonna be dropping. Most likely to be the last of the 70's.

EDIT, funky weather for the next week so I popped out the ECU and Anthony should have it Friday. :p

Got rid of the aggressive engine breaking in S mode (feels more like the 4cyl in-lines that I grew up with), increased response 1st-3rd gears (easy power-up wheelies in 2nd gear now!), smoother and stronger pulling from idle > 3500 RPM (I normally try to stay above 3000 to avoid that sluggish response when rolling on aggressively, no need for that anymore). Granted this is all based upon my SoP (seat of pants) dyno but I could not be happier....money well spent in my opinion.
