Keeping it simple for a 5 day trip - I took way too many clothes, but otherwise I now have a good system down pat now. This is at the entrance to Hwy 24 - a great 100 km run of twisties.

This is my bike just before I left for a 3350 mile ride up to Lake Louise, Canada back on 7-20-12. One more pic at a gas stop in Cranbrook BC
Which bags are these?

Well the two side boxes are Pelican 1550 and the top box is Pelican 1600. I mounted the side boxes on SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock Sideracks and the top box is mounted on a AltRider Luggage Rack. I can take the side boxes and racks off in like 2 mins and I leave the top box on all the time.

It's easy to pack this bike for solo camping, how about 2-up? I've done some touring with my wife and for that we use a Givi top box - very convenient. For 2-up camping though, the top box doesn't accommodate the of bulk tent, pads, sleeping bags, and such.

So here we are packed out for a camping over-nighter. More days would possibly mean more food, water, or different clothes, but basic equipment is the same for one or more days.

All packed up. That's a loosely stuffed, cheap poly-fill sleeping bag on top, acting as a backrest.
The Giant Loop, Coyote is borrowed off my WR250R. Brilliant idea, rides wonderfully in the rough country, pain in the ass to use, and the Coyote is too small for the S-10.

On top of the OEM paniers are L.L. Bean flat-bottom duffels - good quality brand, handy load spot for frequently used items. A Thermorest pad and 3-leg stool are under the GL Coyote. The GL bag holds a Big Agnes Lost Ranger sleeping bag, Q-Core pad, REI 2-man tent, 8'x8' tarp, and 2 camp pillows. Food, 2 2-liter water bottles, clothes, stove and sundry camping equipment ride in the paniers. The Wolfman Expedition tank bag goes on any ride beyond comuting. I highly recommend ROK Straps, another brilliant idea that's actually perfect. A couple pair of these and you can tie down anything easily. Seriously, it's like cheating to use ROK Straps.

A nice throne for Mrs. Boondocker. Harley Electra Glide passenger seat has got nothin' on this perch. :)

See, we really were camping.

It's good to know we can do this. Now to try for a 3-day weekend.

Loaded up for 10-day trip (7 night camping).

- Tank bag (Nelson Rigg bag I've had for a while)
- Giant Loop Great Basin
- 2 Outdoors Research Dry Bags

In the picture, I have some laundry and my camel pack strapped on. I used nylon straps with the metal cam-style buckles, same style that is on the GL bag.

It wasn't the most graceful set-up, but it was very modular and waterproof. I was very happy with it for 1-up.

Note the moose in the tank-bag. It was a gift for my daughter I picked up in Teton NP. It went about 2000 miles with it's head out the front of the tank bag.

Here's mine with enough gear for the wife and I to camp for a weekend. It all fits inside the bags, but just barely.
