Greetings from Ontario and congrats on the purchase. Also a former Gen 1 KLR (and GS750 coincidently) owner. We went to the S10 from KLR for the exact same reasons as you. You will not be disappointed. Sure she's a bit of a fatty but she hikes her skirt and dances great when you want her to. I...

    13 super tenere

Are the clutch safety switch and the kickstand safety switch operating properly? I'm asking because my KLR used to be a bit of a jerk like this sometimes and it was caused by the kickstand switch intermittently not working....which interlocks with the clutch switch to kill the ignition.

    Fuel tank hidden rust areas

As ZigZag noted, silicone sealants are corrosive to metals. Sealant with "silane" is non-corrosive and safe on paint. Look for "Silane" as an ingredient, that the sealant cleans up with mineral spirits and is paintable. Examples such as 3M 4000 is marine specific, but LePage Quad Max...far...

    New Clutch and CCT Installation

Hey Mr. Dutch I changed mine with that part # (which I purchased from Yamaha Canada). It was a piece of cake to change. The video above helped a lot. It's an expensive upgrade but it works great. Engine noise down and best of all it eliminated that funny vibration/growl you get around 3000 RPM.

    Fuel tank hidden rust areas

I approached this as a moisture retention problem on mine. I drilled a series of small "drainage" holes through the strip then greased the flange before reinstalling.

    Breaking bead

I carry Motion Pro short ones and have changed 5 tires on my ST with them. If you can get the sharp one between the rim and tire, you'll have it made. Push and wiggle to get it in as far as you can. Then do the 2-irons slotted together and squeeze. You will probably have to work your way all...

    OEM Panniers 4-sale

I just sold a set of these. Your price is reasonable.....quite a bargain actually. I'm also from Canada but shipped these to SW Texas from northern Minnesota. UPS charged a little over $100 for shipping for both packages (One package contained side boxes with top mounting bars, the other...

    Regarding Tablets

Just a mounting update if anyone decides to go with a RAM mount with the Ulefone Armour 8" rugged tablet If using and existing Tab-Tite system, "End Caps for 7"-8" Tablets with Cases", part # RAM-HOL-TAB23-CUPSU fits almost perfectly, provides plenty of clearance for rear facing camera, easier...

    Camping Chair.

I've had a pair of these Sportneers for a couple years....flawless and cheap. I also have the small table they offer that's equally awesome. Helps that they're around 25% of the price of a Helinox https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07L3VLW6T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

    My very 1st Bike.

I can't say I know what it's like to be in your shoes, what you're capable of, etc. I've been riding motorcycles since I was 5....I'm now 53. I've ridden pretty much every size, shape of motorcycle. I remember my first ride on my first street bike...a Honda 450. I had a ton of experience with...
