That was my point.... I have made only 40'000 km without a single problem, traveled around Italy and Europe but then I wanted more power... I was about to buy a Tracer 9 but when I went to try it to the dealer they had a Gen 1 super tenere which I didn't consider because I thought it was too...- Strummer

To be honest it was a fun bike to be driven around the twisties here... The peak of the torque was at 3000 rpm so I had fun ... Not too many hp but that was not what the bike was meant to. In Europe was called Yamaha xv 950 In the States I think was Bolt The engine was used on other bikes too like the " scrambler" and the cafe racer ones- Strummer

where did you TAKE your Tenere today?
We went to 3-4 passes on the Dolomites, the highest was 2000m (6200 ft I believe). Some spot had snow but the roads seemed ok. Eventhough my 2nd set of Continental trail attack 3 has more than 10'000km I still very very ( maybe too much lol ) confident on them- Strummer

My very 1st Bike.
Welcome from Italy. I would not worry too much about the weight eventhough I really think it is very heavy at least fot my body frame... I am shorter than you , 176 cm and less than 70kg.. Once you get to know her you will find it very nimble, there are days I probably do easily more than 50-...- Strummer

What you did to your Tenere today??!!
I am sorry,I was enquiring about the Ecu.... I like the bike, I find it balanced... The engine braking is a good thing for my style of riding, but maybe it's just me. Thanks for the reply.- Strummer
